Let's say you use a virtual credit card to buy LinkedIn Premium (or any such service where you provide a credit card number but are only billed a month later).

Does LinkedIn check the funds on the card or do they only check that the card has the valid format?

For example, if one has a $20 VCC and tries to get a free month of LinkedIn Recruiter (which is around £150), will that be possible?

As far as I know, they don't do it.
If a company would like to check how much you have on the card, they have to issue a temporary block on funds (same way it works in hotels).
Now if you use for example Revolut, you can see if this block happens.

From what I know, you should be able to get the free period as long as the card is an accepted one with some amount on it. Your success may vary depending on your card or virtual card issuer.

Here's a possible revised version:To the best of my knowledge, the company does not offer a way to check your card balance directly. Instead, they would need to place a temporary block on your funds, similar to how hotels operate. However, if you are using a service like Revolut, you can easily track whether such a block has been placed and monitor your available balance.

Are you using a virtual credit card to purchase LinkedIn Premium or a similar service that bills you a month later? It's natural to wonder whether LinkedIn will check the funds on the card or just validate its format. Specifically, if you're using a $20 VCC and trying to obtain a free month of LinkedIn Recruiter, which costs around £150, will you be successful?

As far as I know, LinkedIn does not check how much the card has but your bank may not let you make the payment. Because you need to have the amount required to purchase the service and when you don't have it, they may not start the order.

They chec, and you should have in it at least 2 bucks for verification (which they will refund you later in like a week)

I had an amount equal to 1 1/2 month of Linkedin Sales Nav, and they wont accept it.

They will run an authorization (usually around $1), then they will cancel it immediately after
