    Hey guys!

What do you prefer - Link Pyramids or Link Wheels? Some say that Link Wheels are old stuff and that you should go with Link Pyramids..

On the other hand, I´ve heard people saying the opposite.

Also, do you have any good suggestions how to plan for a link wheel/link pyramid? I am thinking about using a mind map tool to make it easier for me to see the structure but I´m not sure if there is a better way?

    Thanks :)

The problem with a linkwheel is that it leaves a footprint and that is the reason that they are no longer effective long term.

You can use this diagram for your backlinking as it is very effective:

Everyone will have their own opinion of whether which one is better. Why not do both? Create a link wheel, followed by a linkwheel around the outside of it linking to it? A linkwheeled pyramid :)

Haha I knew Bass would show up here. To OP you need to not just use what everyone else is using and try to come up with your own strategies too.

you need a mix of link types and link structures.. so dont just get say profile links or blog comments.. get articles / web 2.0 / software dirs etc as well..

the same with the structures.. if all your are link wheels this will look suspect but if you have several different structures it will look less obvious to the serps
