has anyone actually tested if there is any, or if so, a big difference between sites linking to your money page that all got the same text, are word-spun, or even sentence / and word/phrase spun?

I see a LOT of rumor and marketing going on and some say it does not matter if its duplicate content for backlinking, while others say it has to be really spun to give back link juice... so... or, do backlinks from identical text actually hurt rankings? anyone has actually tested both and wants to share the results?

I must say I don't have any proof but I quess you shouldn't depend on duplicate content when it comes to creating backlinks. It certainly depends on the kind of backlinking you do. For example on press release plattforms its quiete normal to have duplicate articles.
