Hey people, my question is is it necessary to cloak affiliate links in non IM Clickbank products? Such as acne cure, fat loss, tattoo galleries, etc. Do those commissions get stolen too?

Anyone has any experience with this?

It's just a pain in the ass to buy domains to cloak each link.

I use WP-Affiliate, obviously I am on WP but I often shove stuff to people via messenger and use one of my blogs, one with a domain name that suits my purpose the closest and just create a quick wp-affiliate link to use.

Like: uraffliatelink becomes urblog/categoryofyourchoice/keyword (this might look weird due to the fact that I can't post url's yet :yo: )

You can even enable stats for the links you create.

I don't know if this will help you but I'm sure it will help someone somewhere.

In most markets, you don't really have to worry about link hi-jacking, bypassing, or credibility. Somebody looking for designer dog collars is not likely to insert their own info into your link, or even know what an affiliate link is.

For Internet marketing products, on the other hand, you are dealing with a more savvy market. For this reason I want to cloak my affiliate links, because you are more likely to have your link hijacked, bypassed, or simply ignored because an obvious affiliate link may cause your review to lose credibility with the visitor.

Another thing to consider, is that a quality link cloaker will allow you to put an embedded cookie into your webpage so that your visitor will be stuffed with your affiliate cookie whether they click on your affiliate link or not.

Obviously, this feature would work well in any market.
