So recently I've been reading everything that I can find on ranking factors to reach the number one spot on google, or at least rank on the top 10. There are a few confusing rules or guesses you might say that doesn't seem to make much sense. For example, searchmetrics.c0m/en/services/ranking-factors-2013/ suggests that the main ranking factor comes from G+, secondly facebook shares and third comes backlinks. Doesn't it seem strange that facebook shares came before backlinks, if so what is the point of even building backlinks if their calculations are correct, getting facebook shares are much easier than putting months of work towards link building. Could anyone elaborate a little on this?
