Been attempting to ask websites with related niches for links via offering guest posts, but is a hard slog and is taking me allot of time to get a single link.

Any suggestions on improving my success rate?

I am trying to rank some fairly easy keywords and they probably only need a few quality links to perform.

If it’s easy, and you only need a few links then just buy links. I don’t know how you’re estimating difficulty. If you’re estimating difficulty based on # of searches, you could be very wrong.

Are you trying to get link from exact sites? or in broad niche?

Interesting - how many tiers away from your money site are you? and is the tired site that you are spamming related to your money site niche?
I’ve been using SER on t1 for 8 years now. I don’t have issues because I know how to configure it. The websites I’m spamming have absolutely nothing to do with my website. It’s about page level relevance.

I don’t recommend that you do this. It’s not easy and I don’t give out my configurations or strategy other than “tiered links.”

I do recommend that you not worry so much about relevance as long as your content is the only content on the page. That way you get page level relevance. Contextual backlinks with content optimized for your keywords is critical. Domain level relevance is nice for sure, but it’s not realistic for every website on earth to have links on relevant domains.

I’d recommend finding a competent seller the link building market place forum.

Always thought PBN would not be specific to my niche, do you think they still help.

Yes, as long as your links are niche relevant. Always keep your backlinks within your niche.

Secondly, you need to diversify your backlink profile. Get different types of backlinks such as:
- Guest posts
- Niche Edits.
- Web 2.0
- Edu links
- Wiki links.
- Editorial backlinks
- Blog comments.
- Forum backlinks.
- Press releases.

I don't know Zombie's specific structure, but my recommendation is use GSA links as a tier 2 and lower. Never as a tier 1 backlink, but that's up to you.

If you decide to purchase GSA & go that route, here is a small guide to setting it up: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/tutorial-getting-started-with-gsa-search-engine-ranker.1198731/

Similar niche.. I get lots of emails everyday asking for but links on PBN's but not really sure of there value as they will be spammy.
Do competitor research, and also do outreach to service related sites (related to your niche)

Personally I don’t recommend SER at all to most people if they are the one that’s going to be configuring it. It took me a long time to figure out SEO. A lot of failures and a lot of “no gains.”

I’m only mentioning what I do because I don’t ever get links from relevant domains. And OP is concerned about links that might be coming from not so relevant domains.

I’m not saying I can rank for “payday loans.” But I can dominate long tails without links coming from any (even remotely) relevant domains. Just relevant content on websites where my content is the only content on the page.

I've been there, trust me. I've just personally achieved better results when I kept my links niche relevant & disavowed anything else.

There's a lot of stuff that works in SEO. If you've found that works, more power to you, seriously.

I may start a new project with an aged domain (I buy domains & let them sit for a year) and attempt to rank some easy difficulty kw's and longtails just as a test.

I haven't spammed anything like that with GSA in quite a few years. Mostly just sent tier 3's and on rare occasions tier 2's. Interested to see how it goes.

The main question is are you trying to buy links via outreach or score free ones? paid links are easier to get, with free ones you will normally need to provide a great quality article for anyone to give you a freebie and even then it's harder to get those ones.

It is undisputed that a single link from a closely relevant domain (especially on homepage or internal page with links) will blow the roof off my t1 SER campaigns. In the past I’ve owned multiple domains in the same niche and one exact match anchor from homepage sent my other website from nowhere to #15 for main money kw. :)

I hope this conversation has helped!!
