Check out this method:
These lil fraudsters are getting very crafty with the way they do things.
"Dear PayPal customer" ... they don't even know your name xD I never trust emails I get from xxxxxxxx-paypal.@paypal-xxxxxx.com
LOL....once..I got email from [email protected]
that was a fun day....I had something to laugh on for all day long
pretty easy to spot these, especially that most of them goes into the spam at least in gmail, yahoo for sure, plus if you use gmail, you don't have to worry too much regarding paypal and phishing emails, because gmail knows all the trusted paypal addresses and when you get an email from those, it puts a little key symbol next to it, so you know right away what's legit and what not, even without opening the emails
easy to spot them for someone who know, but just think how many sheep are out there people will open even if they send from address @f***you com paypal is useless anyway to buy anything because of good security but sadly they target and will get hundred of full info card informations before their page shut down
Typical phishing. It's easy to mask email address to look exactly like the Paypal one. (Can be checked in headers though).
well, if you use gmail, you don't have to worry about spotting them, gmail does that instead of you marking emails from trusted paypal addresses with the key symbol, that's pretty fool proof, if you ask me, but i can't even remember when was the last time when i got a phishing email into the inbox, those go to the spam automatically
if someone is that clueless that he/she doesn't know about this despite using gmail and opens a phishing email clicking on the links, those cannot be saved anyway
people still get fooled of course and there's nothing we can do about it, that's why phishers keep going
this one was from some stupid gmx email.
I'm using yahoo and that it didn't make it to spam box. Always getting spam at yahoo.
Exactly, their banking it and laughing straight to the bank with the proceeds.
Society Girl...? hmmm.. I've never seen you around before. Are you a mod or in training?
Separate names with a comma.
