Is there an option to like X amount of photos of someone who you just followed, I feel like these return the best results.

Well, of course there is an option called Like. Not sure what you mean by that?

If you are using FL, then you can use the 'FLC' method, read the instructions in the User Manual > Advanced > Instagram > FLC.

In case you don't have your password handle to check the guide.

Task Selection-
tick the following boxes: scrape user, scrape photo, like

Scrape user settings-
scrape user limit: 25
ignore private users: tick
Select new: query type = normal search, query = FLC:yourAcc

scrape photo settings-
scrape photo limit:3 (change this to like more than 3 image per user)
scrape only top result: tick
Select new: query type = Relevant, query FLC:yourAcc

But if I don't toggle comments and I use FLC, does it still work? since the command is "FLC:username"

why would I put "yourAcc" vs the tag I want it to search? Or is that what you meant so wouldnt I do "FLC:Fitness" for example?\

I basically want to follow/and like on people who search for certain things. Not follow/like people who follow certain people.

FLC stands for follow, like, comment. you check whatever you want FL to do. so if you only want to like, you check like. Leave the comment and follow box uncheck.

Correction. You said you wanted to like your following and not your followers. FLC will scrape your followers only. What you need to do is to custom scrape your followings.

Two step process. Open another FL instance.
Tick 'scrape user'
Make sure 'scraped users' is empty by deleting whatever is inside.
Under 'scrape user settings', select new. Query type: user's following. Query: yourAccName
scrape user limit: 50
When you have finished scraping. Import the list to desktop.

Scraping your following user's list
You need to somehow add this query string to all your users. If you open up the list you have imported, it will show only the user's name like this "userName",''"

You need to create a list like this to all your user names like this with quotes.
"userName","User's Photo"

Excel can do.

Once you have created the list. It's time to scrape your user's photos.
Import that list under 'scrape photo settings.
Setup how many photos you want to like, or scrape only top result.

Update: From reading your OP and your last post, it's two different scenarios. The settings I showed above is for liking photos whom you are following currently.

I want to find users based on a tag such as "Fitness", follow them, then IMMEDIATELY like thier photos, then move on to the next person.

FLC method works only for usernames. Not sure if it works for tags, keywords, etc.

I thought about it some and I do not think FL can do this all in one take. You will need to come up with a user's list from your custom scraping.

Follow the second settings example above.

It should follow your list of custom scraping and like their photo(s).

"FLC:username","Normal Search"
"FLC:username","Relevant"
Alright, thanks for assisting me :).
