Oh geeze! I wonder how long it'll be until the first 419-scammer starts using this very same story to try and con money out of innocent people? :(

A very sad situation - made all the worse may I say by the fact that the bank didn't seem to have any qualms about accepting his money for all those years. :(

Money stuffed in bra saves woman caught in shootout

    April 14, 2009
    Article from: Agence France-Presse

MONEY stuffed in a woman's bra saved her life after she was shot aboard a bus in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia, local media reported today.

The incident took place on Saturday in Bahia's capital, Salvador, where 58-year-old Ivonete Pereira was shot in the chest by one of two attackers who tried to rob the bus.

She was travelling to her summer home in the nearby town of Lauro de Freitas and because of frequent bus attacks in the region, she hid 150 reals ($95) in 20- and 10-real notes coiled inside the left side of her bra.

When the bus passed through the Boca do Rio neighbourhood, the robbers suddenly announced their intention. A shootout ensued with a police officer on the scene and a stray bullet hit Pereira.

Her bra was stuffed with just enough cash to absorb most of the impact, although she still had to be taken to hospital to have the bullet removed.

A retired sergeant was gunned down during the shooting with the assailants, who managed to escape

Sorry, I'm just not getting this. How did this poor old homeless Korean guy's money - end up in the bra of a 58-year old lady in Northern Brazil? ;)

Sorry dynander, now I'm really lost

My point was to say that basically contrary to the remark:
FWIW I couldn't see said "bright side", neither any relationship between what the OP had kindly shared (about a greedy, thoughtless Korean bank) and an anecdotal story about a lady in Brazil.

Now what was your point please? :)

My point was, a life was lost, with money, and a life was saved
with money. The bright side being that a womans life was spared
because of money stuffed in her busten-halten. Had the Korean
man stuffed his pants with money, then maybe he could have saved himself. Poor planning on the mans part, good planning on
the womans part. Gee now I am really feeling like maybe there is
no bright side only rainy days :rain:
