    The Atypical Monetized Blogger Method
    By Lex Leto

This method is simple, step-by-step, and grey hat. There are many other methods such as this to follow, but this is just the first tester to see what kind of response I get before launching out all of them. Without any further ado:

Start an account at http://mail.google.com (if you don't already have one), as well as http://www.blogger.com.

Find a professional-looking template from http://www.bloggerbuster.com (not my site).

With these templates, you can make your Blogspot blog look identical to or even better than a Wordpress blog of the same type.

Find a topic you are interested in that you think is traffic worthy.

Buy a related .info through http://www.godaddy.com. Use NAU1 for 10% off for a total of $1.08. Or use another code.

Connect your new domain with your blog using the following steps:

Once your domain has been registered, log in to your control panel, and choose to "manage domains".

Click on the area marked Total DNS Control, and then on Total DNS Control And MX Records.

Look for a record prefixed "WWW". If there isn't one, add a new CNAME record; if there is one, you'll need to edit this record instead.

Insert these settings exactly as they are described! For the "Name" type "www" (as in http://www.yoursite.com). For the Host Name, you need to enter "ghs.google.com".

Don't change or enter anything else except for these two functions.
If this is a new CNAME, click "add". If you are editing an existing CNAME, click "update" and "continue".

Find articles relating to your niche on http://www.associatedcontent.com, http://www.ezinearticles.com, or http://www.bukisa.com.

Join http://www.cj.com and look for programs relating to your niche using Keywords. Join these programs, as well as any other related affiliate program you can find for your niche. For example:

In the adult niche, I decided I wanted to use porn star Ashlynn Brooke for one of my blogs. I couldn't find any relevant adult affiliate networks through http://www.cj.com to join, and therefore I joined http://www.nscash.com and http://www.bangbros.com/affiliates.

Don't be afraid if they ask for a site, just put in a medium-traffic related site and call it your own.

Once a week, gather seven related articles, and rewrite them in your own words, or change words around to make handmade unique content.

Post once per day to stay active and appear dedicated to your target audience.

Join http://www.bidvertiser.com. Consider it to be a more lenient, smaller scale version of AdSense.

Put a http://analytics.google.com tracking code onto your blog to track stats. This is useful to geographically narrow down your target audience, and also to see what posts are getting the most traffic as a model for future posts.

Create accounts at http://www.digg.com, http://www.reddit.com, http://www.mixx.com, http://www.stumbleupon.cpm, and http://www.del.icio.us. Submit each post daily after you post it.

Find related blogs through http://blogs.google.com search or some other search function and make a list of them in Notepad. Subscribe by email to all of them.

Whenever they make a new post, quickly comment on it with a link to your blog. This builds backlinks for your blog and credibility for you as a writer.

Maintain and repeat with a new niche whenever you feel like you're getting the hang on it. Repetition equals speed in the long run. I can crank out a week's worth of unique posts from articles in a half hour, and then posting and submitting is a five minute job nowadays.

    Good luck!

That's a solid, straight forward way to do things. This focuses more on quality over quantity, which is becoming more and more important every day.

I'm surprised however you didn't refer to Adsense in more detail. It's the simplest form of web design monetization.

AdSense works, but there are so many other ways to make money on blogs without using AdSense. It's such a fragile form. You need to have your blog in a certain fashion and you can't draw attention to your ads in any way, shape or form or you're banned. I've had success with AdSense. I've also experienced how anal they can be.

BidVertiser always pays on time, there's no extra wait for a check, and they are reasonable when it comes to questionable traffic sources. I like them so much better than AdSense. They also pay more per click.

Thanked, but anyways I have 2 questions!

    1. Hosting an .info site costs .89 cents + around 4.99 a month, am I right? (total noob question sorry)

    2. Assuming I find a decent niche, and follow your steps, how much can I expect to earn daily? Is the adult niche more profitable? Edit: I'd most liekly be using bidvertiser

    Thanks!

Answer to 1: The host is simply Blogger. There's a way to direct a .info purchase (the $0.89 + $0.20) straight to your blog address using domain forwarding. That way, there's no need to purchase the hosting.

Answer to 2: I have been steadily making $50-$70 per day using this method spanned across eleven different blogs such as this.

excellent post for the newbs who are always asking how to get started making bank

i used something very similar to this a few years back - focusing on running 5-6 sites which i had spent a long time selecting niches. Got me going with $20-30 per day with adsense until i moved on to something different.

Why thank you, kypter05. I'm happy that you moved on from AdSense. Unless one already has a site pulling in 10,000+ visitors per day, and have made a significant amount of advertising revenue through other means, I consider AdSense to be a waste of time and money. Their strict TOS are too easy to absentmindedly break, and the other options are so much more profitable.

    Thanks for the informative post,

Do you know whether adsense AND bidvertiser can be used together on the same sites, or is this against either TOS?

    Thanks.

As long as Adsense and another BidVertiser or any other contextual ad program is displayed on the same page that is fine. So even if they are displayed on different pages on the same site that is fine as well.

Contextual is when the type of ads are based on the content from your website, like adsense will display hockey ads if that is what the type of content is on your website.

    Lex,

Great post and I checked out your blog. I do have a question, it's probably a stupid noob question......but what exactly is the advantage of adding the .info domain to the blog? I mean, I have seen plenty of methods, using blogger alone, this is the first I have seen of adding a domain to a blogger blog. Is this so you can use something besides Adsense, or what?

There's a nice little software tool that lets you watch sites that are of interest to you. When they make a post, you get an alert right on your desktop. Instantly. It's very handy, because that way you can be the first to comment, and we all know how much traffic a good comment can bring.

Also, be sure to properly use the <a> tags in your comments, like that:

    <a href="http://your-site-here.com">A good anchor text here</a>

Most blogs allow them, and it's a very nice way to build one way backlinks, as well as generate traffic.
