    Hi,

what do you use for split testing ads on WP blogs? Any dedicated plugins or do you use some external services like google's/unbounce? Not much experience with this for me, got sites, but now want to improve my revenue.

Any ideas would be great. thanks!

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adrotate/ this is really funky and free. does all you need, tracks clicks also.

just setup diff subids for diff ads and get the rest of the stats you need from your cpa network.

..and that one puts the ads also in posts/pages, not just the sidebar...so you can place ads absolutely anywhere using shortcodes in the post/page content.

ah yea.. no, it does not support that unfortunately. would have to do that manually :(

unbounce does that? or does it duplicate the lander/page and just rotate between those?

edit: seems to just rotate.. so there's no big difference vs. using that plugin I guess.. just setup different ad group for each variant of your page(s) and see what happens to the ctr.

i think you need duplicates, so its not really suitable for posts

split testing ad placement when i have 5 big sites and a dozen possible ad layouts on each manually can be a hassle, thats why i asked.

yeah you're right. hope you find something...

could always go custom, shouldn't be a super tough nut to crack for a decent coder..ad placements inserted directly into your template files, randomize on each load where to put the adcode and sort the stats based on this data.

    anyway, good luck :)
