Let's talk about sandbox

Hi BHW folks,
Four days ago new blog launched, and got index about 5 pages after two days.
Yesterday only did the homepage of blog alive on big G. Now got unindex

Learned from one seo book, if new launched site, and targeted for competitive niche will be sandboxed for some months. Any different opinions?
Some questions:
How long does your new site get out of sandbox?
How do you do in this duration of got sandbox?




P.S. Sorry for my poor English.

3-6 months it takes to get out of sand box.

As what yowies stated, I think the sandbox is a bunch of bull.

Slowly build backlinks and it shouldn't be a problem. I've tons of sites - some of them I've used xrumer to blast links to. Never got sandboxed.

The only time when I never got indexed is for an autoblog with tons of cloaked pages
