Let's revive what I feel to be the BHW spirit.

The table below highlights what I believe to be the current problem.

Open ended method with a lot of room for development.
    Thx 4 da share
    Thanks Man! <3
    +Thanks +Rep Loved your share
Great method bro. Keep up the shares

You MUST have seen this. It happens in every thread; pages and pages of people saying "Thanks" and nothing else.

A person will spend a lot of time drafting and publishing a post of a technique that has worked for them. They will be thanked both with posts and people using the button but for me, you don't really 'earn' much. What I feel would be much better was if a 'method thread' began a brainstorm, a discussion, a REAL forum.

I am ignoring the fact that people inflate their post count by posting "Thanks" and similar posts that aren't helpful. Those can be ignored and aren't REALLY a problem. Here, both sides are missing out. The forum users get a method that may not be very efficient because it was only created by one person and the person that makes the share receives no real feedback of how to improve.

This way, people really would be rewarded. By posting a method you could pick up an almost infinite amount of possible twists that could improve your conversion rate, level of traffic or profits through any other factor of a sale.

It doesn't have to be an essay, just tiny snippets or nuggets of advice. Look back to the older threads on the forum and you'll see what I mean. People would recommend changing a single line of code to increase the efficiency of a redirect or other users would recommend a site where they could get social shares for free rather than having to pay for them. Heck, I even used to see people code a content locker and post it in a response to a thread. If you don't believe me: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo-tools/210047-any-bhcb-alternatives.html#post1859033

Let's get back to sharing things for the good of everyone. Next time you see an opportunity to help someone, do it. If you know something that could make someone's method more efficient or yield more, then tell them and DON'T PM it to them.

This is a forum. We are here to discuss, not to read and Thank people.

I think everyone is super paranoid about Matts shills and it is ruining
    the spirit of sharing.

    Here is the thing.
Even if you show a perfect method that will work for the dumbest person, only 1% will do something with that method. The rest will either continue to browse the forum for "push button method, no education needed, no investment needed" or they will just say "Thanks man, cool method, have you actually earned naything with that method?"

I have to agree with this. I only recently signed up to the forums and I try my best to give back as much knowledge as possible. That being said, in some cases I don't have anymore value to add so I will just genuinely thank the person for sharing. I've browsed the forums for months and back then you would get tons of people answering questions and helping people out, now most threads go unanswered or they receive answer with no credibility or creativity. It's saddening.

You kind of missed the point, at least I think so.

The point he is complaining about as far as I see is that it isn't a FORUM/discussion board anymore.

It would be amazing if people instead of thanking everyone for shares, would actually provide their thoughts on it, shared some twists or other related ideas.. Discuss things, like a forum is supposed to.

May I add why are things so damn negative lately. Everything thread is about suicide, BHW is dying or
there is no money to be made online anymore.

And something I see that is messing everything up is those people who just say
"That is what the search bar is for" Come on! BHW would be like wikipedia if you just posted info
and linked people to it all the time. Some redundancy is completely necessary.

It's actually worse than that because the people saying "use the search bar" don't even link to anything so you have to waste time trying to find a relevant thread. If you know the answer to a question then I don't think it's too much to ask to provide a quick answer.

I think the problem is that people are afraid of saying anything because if they do then they think they're somehow gonna lose money or a good method. It's wrong though since you can see at least a handful of journey threads where people have documented what they're doing and they've made money. Look at Reinstecker's method. That guy shared basically everything he does and I doubt he's taken a loss because of it.

Being as I'm still kind of new, I can't really say anything BUT (yea i still will).. I think some people are intimidated to post and don't know what else to say besides thanks. I think the "noob" term is used too much in an insulting way, so people are afraid to post, thinking they'll get ... "laughed at".. not actually laughed at, but just bashed or something. I think like the other person said, getting told "that's what the search bar is for" probably adds to that too.

so um.. yea... some of you old people need to stop being so damn cocky and aggressive and be more nice and helpful
kidding... well kind of, i've seen A LOT more helpful members.

    "shutup lin"
    ok.

edit: oh i just repeated what the person above me said. sorry! didnt see that post before i posted

Don't worry about it, I actually wasn't thinking of it from a new person's perspective so you didn't say exactly what I said. :)

Way to go LinLicker. We need to stop letting trolls think they're cool for doing so. BHW is a place for knowledge, not to be a jerk because your buddies will laugh.
    That's called highschool.

Emmm, I guess as IM became harder and harder the distance between IM'ers started to get bigger..

Here is how I see it. There are 3 types of IMe'rs

    1 - Newbies,
who are learning and haven't done anything yet. Their dream is to learn how to make 100$/month.
2 - IMer's, those are people who achieved good earning from internet marketing. Anything from 50$ to 500$ per day. Those are the soul of BHW. They want to learn more and in the same time they have the knowledge to share something.
    3 - Pro's,
after a decent time turn into Pro's. The break +1000$ / day. Some earn 5 figures daily. This usually when he has his own methods he can't speak of. He don't have enough time to talk. If he has any spare time, he would spend it spending his money :) So, they disappear. Yup, you can see them from time to time, but probably when they show, they are not that useful

Now, because IM is only getting harder, it became very hard to newbies to IMer's. IMer's are moving fast toward Pro's as it's getting easier for them. We are suffering from the lack of IMer's :D I can call names and give example of the 3 layers but I think this will turn this thread into a disaster.

I agree about the comments made about "use the search bar" Ok well to be honest, the search bar doesnt return any useful threads in my opinion. The way that I do it is google what I am looking for followed by blackhatworld and that is a much better way of finding threads that your looking for.

KELLOGGS I understand your grief but you have to take into account that this forum started off as a friendly 'hey.. let's have a place where we can interact with other people interested in what were interested in'
but when it got a marketplace filled with resellers and rehashed versions of methods that people got on this forum the sharing stopped...

Did you share your YT script with the population ? No :)
will bluematter openly share the source of AngloRank ? No :)
will t0mmy explain to us his SEO agency grade link building techniques ? No :)

this forum became about making money rather than discussing ideas and that's why you're not going to see spinoffs of methods
the user base of these boards is made up of 80% MSB's :)

I try to do my part and share as much as I am able too
but saturating a method that's making me money is not going to help me, or the community.
Sharing it with people I know, I trust and whom I can help first hand will always be the right way to do it in my book.

Exactly. Although, I didn't mean for it to come out as a complaint. In my head, I was aiming for more of a "call to arms" to bring people together.

You're definitely right that as the forum has grown older and switched management, thing's have changed, but there's very little we can do about that. However, I think we could easily achieve the replies with improvements.

Instead of reading threads and simply copying them Step by Step, people should challenge themselves to find as many things that they could do better.

Creativity from "method makers" is still there but it shouldn't be like that. If everywhere was a constant conversation about different ways of doing things, no one would ever feel embarrassed to post in the fear of saying something wrong. "Method makers" are not Gods, anyone can use their previous experience to help others.

I realise it's not going to happen overnight but I had to raise the issue as too many possible points for exciting discussion are going unused and wasted at the moment.

I've had days in your third category but don't see it an excuse to not log in and help out a few people just as I was helped by experienced members when I was a little fledgling.

You are right. One thing I really hate is people coming and saying use the search function. Why on earth you reply to the topic if you have nothing to contribute?

New members need not worry about being laughed at for their contribution, i'll be the first to admit that in my time here i've posted some top notch crap that i believed to be true at the time, worst that ever happened was someone told me why i was wrong so i altered my perspective and made it work with the new things i've learned.

Most of the people on here are basically anon, they have a random username and a preset avatar, I have my actual name and a picture of my face and i don't worry about people laughing at me so why would you?

Be wrong if you must, but don't let that stop you sharing.
