We just got the below email from Facebook and its GREAT NEWS!

    "Hi Facebook Advertiser,

In response to feedback, we're changing how often advertisers are billed. Instead of being charged as often as every day, you'll now be billed:

    • Each time you reach your billing threshold
    • On the last day of each month

Your billing threshold is currently $500.00 and will increase automatically if you spend more than your threshold. Your payment method will be charged for an amount near to your billing threshold or slightly more, depending on how quickly you're spending. If you don't reach your billing threshold, you'll be charged at the end of the calendar month.

    Thanks,
    The Facebook Ads Team"

Its good news for those who have winning campaigns and a proper billing solution in place.

Now you don't need a $2,000 / day spending cap account you can have smaller ($250 or $500) accounts that can just churn through that multiple times in a day.

    • Thanks Thanks x 2

    This is good and bad.

Good is yes, you can spent more, BUT when you reach to 500 spent, traffic slows done and your ad is being re-reviewed. Which means you have higher chances of getting banned. Threshold accounts are not new, they been here for about 4-5 months already. All my Threshold die after 5-6 days usually, so I do not like them.

facebook is increasing scrutiny on high spend accounts. still not a good idea to spend that much if you want it to last

We are currently running all kinds of split test regarding what makes accounts last and what doesn't. Including: Agency Accounts vs. Regular individual accounts Credit Card Vs. Paypal billing VPN vs No VPN (and other IP solutions). I won't make this information public, but at the end of the day if you don't do testing like the above you will never know. Currently we have found success in both Agency level and Individual accounts.

I really don't think that billing method makes any difference when running aggressive ad copies or when cloaking. Even tho there is huge difference between Agency account and Individual accounts.

I don't exactly never test different account types/ad copies/landers etc, but I can surely say I have experience when it comes to fb ads. I am managing 10-20 accounts daily and as far as I noticed, banning is most likely random thing. For example if I run similar muscle/skin ads on 2 different accounts, it is quite common that one account might last 15 days, other one 7 days. Why would they ban one and not other? They had same ad copies/landers? Doesn't make sense right? That's right, it doesn't make sense. Only logical explonation I can think is that Reviewers/Reps/Risk department contains huge team of individuals, which means most of them have their own opinions and final decisions. One might think that my ad is decent and should not be banned, other might red flag it right away.

Most of bigger Pubs know the fact, that Facebook doesn't have rulebook that they follow in Advertising. They have set basic Rules, but that's most likely it.

No doubt, testing and experience is key to success.
