Lessons Learned in 2008

1. I waste way to much time:
A. Reading stupid posts which i learn nothing in
B. Checking up on things that dont need checking up on
C. Trying to push my points to people who cant see the truth

2. I need a bigger screen to get anything done, 15inch widescreen doesnt cut it

3. I need to stay in contact with more like minded people, i could never login to my msn again and i would loose nothing.

4. Godaddy is a company i will never use again

5. 10tb.com is THE worst server company on the planet (they are resellers of softlayer who ARE GOOD but my 90year old grandad could do a better job at reselling them)

6. Stop spoon feeding people who wont feed themselves or even lend you food

7. Digitalpoint is such a god dam waste of time

8. Trying to learn CPA via PPC is EXPENSIVE

9. I need to think outside the box, I need to follow through on ideas

10. I need more eggs in more baskets

11. Adbrite is ban happy/retarded

12. Wordpress (And i hate to say it) actually looks useful as a effortless money machine

Boxic,

Stop spoon feeding people who wont feed themselves or even lend you food.

-- > It's never too late to stop doing things you should't do.

I've realized that making money online is a lot more harder than pulling a full loaded truck, but it's damn worth it.

I needed more than one year to figure out things I could have realized a lot earlier if I was to find the right forums/people.

Affiliate marketing has NO Limits. Lots of people got rich marketing other's products.

Yes Digital Point is a waste of 'Big Time'. 90% of the people on DP aren't making money online.

I learned that there is alot of money to be made online if you put the effort into it.

I learned some of the same things as lots of you guys.

1. I need to take massive action.
2. I need to focus on one thing at a time.
3. I need to do a fair amount of research before trying something new, or I might waste alot of money, time and effort.
4. If I think some idea is good, the opposite is probably true. I need to think out-of-the-box.
5. Making money online isn't as easy as it sounds.
6. Failing is OK, that's how you learn.
7. Stop procrastinating. Stop making excuses.
8. Smart work is usually better than hard work.
9. Unlearning is as important as learning.
10. I need to take massive action.

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

11. Investing in stocks and funds is useless unless you A) Have GOOD inside information B) Control the market or C) Are prepared to have the money sitting there for a 5 years to a decade. There's a 10k€ I will never see again.

I have learned one thing, and that is :

FOR THINGS TO CHANGE, I HAVE TO CHANGE !

Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing everyday, but expecting a different result .

I wish all you BHW members a profitable and safe New Year. :)

Very cool, keep this thread going. I also recently realized I should use more website tools instead of just wordpress. Many of you already know this, but some people don't realize exactly how powerful or full featured the other options are. I started a thread on this, too at http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/45534-using-wordpress-limiting-your-options.html

Happy New Year everyone.
