Less footprints in forum posts

I was wondering if anyone her uses a mass forum post for backlinks, but instead of just slapping the link in and getting bounced by the mod., will it work if I mask the link in BB code?

I was just thinking today of a number of different ways to hide the link, for example changing the BB color code and underline like this link and matching the background color of the forum. You could just add the link after your post it should look natural. Granted every forum is different colors and there would be a large process, but I bet a huge number of forums are white. . . or black if you prefer.

Overall it was just an idea bouncing through my head, and being a noob I wanted some feedback.

While doing this is probably not going to be that effective, take into consideration that almost all modern BB software offers the user the ability to change the skin. If it's a popular board, I doubt your spam posts would last that long. One thing you could do, though it wouldn't be as effective as creating actual text links, is to post single images linked to your site in threads which are related semantically to your site.
