I made my first site recently its a brand new domain as well the site age is about 1 month now. All most all of the keywords im targeting are not in the top 100 results of google and they should be quite easy to rank. Im assuming that this is normal since its a brand new site and I have done no external SEO on it.

I want to ask if the site name can be too long that it can affect the SEO of the site and if so should I go ahead and buy a SEO package for this site as I was planning or will that make no difference? The site name is about 37 characters so its not too excessive I believe but I would really appreciate the opinion of more experienced people.

    Thank you

go to this link, it might help you.

Moreover if you are not aware about seo then first learn it thouroughly as there are many clauses for seo (do's and dont's), if not followed correctly then first of all your site will not rank rather it can even get penalized, better to take help of a seo expert as per my opinion.

Long domain name can effect your SEO. Try to keep your domain name under 20 characters. Because if you target only home page then it's okay. But if you target your inner page for SEO then it will effect a lot. You know google have limited words for showing url in there search results. And it's important to focus keyword in starting of your permalinks.

Thanks a lot guys I do have knowledge of basic SEO practies and I think the long site name should not be too much of a problem for SEO.

And I found as my site is categorised through categories in google search google actually removes the category or makes it invisible to make room for the article name.
