Hello there BHW members, I come back once again with a question :)

Recently I've got to wondering, is spam on twitter in any way a violation of the CANSPAM act, or any other anti-spam laws? (there aren't any that I'm aware of) I've heard stories of myspace spammers losing huge suits from the company, but I'm still not sure where social networks fit under current spam legislation. My question is, is social network still basically open game? Or could there be actual law-violating repercussions at this point. I have no doubt there will be eventually, I'm just curious if it already happened and I didn't realize.

    Thanks as always,
    Your humble acolyte,

EDIT: on second thought, I very well may have posted this in the wrong section, if so please move it and yell at me as is due ^^
