Legality of copyrighted images in facebook ad creative?

    Hey, I have searched everywhere but can't seem to find an answer to a simple question. Is it legal to use a copyrighted photo in lets say, a facebook news feed ad? Assuming that the image is never used anywhere else besides the in the ad?

    My gut is telling me no, but you never know.

    Since its bots that verify the images, it will likely pass and get approved. Will it pass a manual review? Thats a good question indeed. Since the social network is all about sharing pics most of which are copyrighted, one has to wonder how they handle this the moment you click "Boost post"
