    Okay..
Im not sure of the legalities and am wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Basically a mobile phone provider offers a discount for code for cheaper entry to a theme park when you text them.
it is specific to the provider and other network operators do not have this discount code in operation.

If I was to set up a premium rate text service for the public to use.. I.e. from any network provider..
The cost of the text service would be double that of the original (my profit margin)
And I was to obtain the codes myself from the company and forward it to the end user does anyone think I might get into hot water?

It seems like a good idea.. but obtaining the premium rate text service cannot be done without revealing my identity. To the premium rate service provider.. does anyone think ill have a network provider breathing down my throat wanting court action?

#1 Read their ToS on the service. I'm sure there is a clause somewhere in there about giving the codes away.

#2 You suddenly wanting 50 billion codes is going to raise red flags really quick.

I would not call it illegal, but its certainly grounds for your provider to terminate your service.

I do like like your thinking though. Very out of the box

    Thank for the complement :)
The terms and conditions say that the codes aren't transferable..
But everyone is "asking their friends for the code"
I.e. they do work once transferred obviously.

But nothing to say what I am doing cannot be done, and as far as I know this method has never been used before to my knowlage..

The facebook page that I will be going viral on may attract the network provider themselves and im only guessing that they might be pissed off..

I say that because they will be getting the same amount of money.. but unsure how they will react to me reselling their service for double.
And of course opening the promotion up to everyone not just their own 'loyal customers'.

Am I right in saying that I would get a cease and desist letter first before court action?

I wonder if "codes are non transferable" means "if you do transfer them then we will sue your azz" perhaps they didn't think about the chance of someone reselling them.

The promotion is going to last for 6 months so it could be quite lucrative..

You never know until you try it. Always try to have a backup plan.
