I ran into a site the other day, and they were using the CPA*L*ea*d Gateway.

The site claimed that after you filled out one of the surveys, you would get a free movie ticket from this big movie ticket vendor in the United States.

However, at the bottom of their page, they did mention they are not affiliated with the big movie ticket vendor.

Now, needless to say, I really doubt they are giving out free movie tickets. The domain is only 3 days old BTW.

So after the consumer fills out the survey, what happens? Can't the person operating the site run into some legal issues for not sticking to their word (giving out movie tickets)? Or is it safe?

personally i think aslong as he states on the gateway that the tickets are not for big cinemas then hese not in the wrong unless he states it other wise and of course if he actually gives them the ticket.

Thats my own opinion but i might be wrong

I really doubt he is giving out the tickets though. How would he profit?

$1-$4 per completed survey. Movie ticket costs at least $8-$10.

You have to enter your phone number to complete the offer. Don't want to get any "secret" charges on my phone bill. ;)

I assume from this that he is running only mobile billing offers, which incur costs to the user after they submit and confirm their mobile number. My theory is that it could perhaps be illegal under the idea that users are paying for something they are not receiving, if of course they don't get a ticket after completing the offer. However, time is not viewed in the same manner as money, so if the survey is a standard $1-4 survey that does not require submission and verification of a mobile phone number then I doubt they can push any charges. Just a thought though.

Great answer. Does CPA l*e*ad have those type of offers which don't require a cell phone submit?

Haha, no problem. Ya, I understand.

I'm still not one hundred percent sure about this though.

Would be nice to hear some more opinions.
