I was previously using tweetadder V3 and I am going to move to a new tool.

Anyone know how to retrieve the list of people we have followed with Tweetadder to move them to an another softawre.
They are located in the acount_name.ta3 file.

I am afraid to follow again people I have already followed and unfollowed...

I would have appreciate feedback from people who have moved to an another tool.

    thanks in advance.

The OP doesn't want a list of followers for one of his accounts, he wants a list of all the people he has followed using his accounts I believe. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

IIRC TweetAdder stores its data in encrypted SQLite databases. I don't remember the passphrase off the top of my head but you can extract the passphrase from the executable and then use sqlite.exe at the command line to open the .ta3 file and dump out the tables using some simple SQL.

This will dump all of the strings in the TweetAdder executable (assumes UNIX/Linux/Cygwin)

    Code:
     strings TweetAdder.exe
This will dump all of the tables in the database after you open it with SQLite command line tool:
    Code:
     select * from sqlite_master;
From there you can just run a query select on the appropriate table to dump out all of the data you need.

That really has nothing to do with the original question. Someone wanted information on how to extract their existing data from an obsolete tool. Read more, write less.

Thanks FiftyShadesOfBlack but i do not use unix.
I do no see why I need to "string tweetadder.exe" as the information I am looking for is in acount_name.ta3 file.

Anyone has achieve this on windows?

The .ta3 are encrypted SQLite databases. You use the strings command to dump all known strings from the TA executable and look for the encryption password to the SQLite database. It is stored in plain text when I did this a few years back. This works on Windows with cygwin installed for the strings command, and sqlite for accessing the database files. Sysinternals offers a portable equivalent to strings.exe if you just want to go and snag a copy of that.

Any update on this? Did you figure out how to migrate properly?

A step by step guide would be appreciated, but any feedback is helpful. I am in the process of switching over as well and would like to access the .ta3 files to make sure profiles are not followed a second time. Thanks!
