Since there has to be many people here in the sports niches, I thought one of you might know a good place to get info on learning a sport as an adult.

just find osmething you enjoy and watch it, you will learn all you need by just engaging in it. Not by reading and all that, I watch football, Boxing, Soccer and I know pretty much everything about them and I aint never read anything about them. By the way I picked up football as an adult.

Well i am 32 years old and for the last 3 years i mostly snowboard and wakeboard. I suggest you to do both as seasonal. Wakeboarding is a really challening sports which needs a good upper body condition and if you dont have, it make you faster than body building ;) On my city summer comes a little bit early so wakeboard season is more. Already +28C :)

There are athletic leagues for older gentlemen. Try your local community centres and phone around. I know there's a basketball amateur league for adults (not competing or full of college kids) in my city.
