    Hello fellow BHW members

Edit: English is not my first language and Im bad at writing, please forgive me :)
    Edit2:Formatting

I have been lurking on BHW since October and made a user in December as part of my new year’s resolution to learn some IM techniques. I’ve been interested in computers and the internet since my family bought a computer back when Windows 98 was released. I was 9 at the time and this was my first meeting with 300 sweet megahertz processing power and a whooping 4000mb megabytes of hard drive space, I was amazed.
When I was 11 or 12 I started making some basic websites in Microsoft Frontpage (anyone remember this? ) and taught myself some HTML and CSS. I remember back then visit4visit rotator websites were big back then. You open a few browser windows which automatically visits some random sites and u get visits back at a slightly disadvantageous ratio so the sites could sell visitors as well. Anyways I signed up for one of these sites and used an affiliate link as my “website” and got thousands of visits to it. I think I made $900 in 2 months which was a lot of money back then to a 12 year old kid. How a 12 year old kid gets that money cash in hand is a story for a different time. I got paranoid(smart?) pretty fast and quit.

Since then I haven’t really done any IM stuff. I’m the “tech” guy so Ive set up websites for some small companies etc but nothing beyond a simple Joomla/WP-site with some very basic onsite SEO and backlinking (this was mostly in pre-penguin days where you could just spam backlinks like a madman).

    Fast forward to 2017…

I have decided to spend some time learning some IM techniques. My main goal is to learn so this isn’t one of those “my journey to *insert arbitrary number here* $$ a month things. I plan to update this thread at least 2 times a week and I would really appreciate feedback. I would rather you be honest and question my decisions and techniques rather than 2 pages full of “u go gurlll”.

What I have done so far is(apart from reading till my eyes bleed):

Ordered an Amazon associate niche website from @Chintoo in https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/passive-income-with-amazon-associates-sites-that-actually-make-money-50k-lms-15k-words.897901/:

    (I bought the basic package)

I have budgeted around $150 for SEO for this site so if anyone could recommend me a good package from the marketplace that would be great. I am contemplating on spending the money on setting up a PBN instead but Ive read too many “PBNs are dead!!!!1”-threads to confidently invest time and money in my own PBN. What do you think?

I ordered this about 2 weeks ago TAT is on Wednesday. I had some money to spend and I bought this mainly to see how it’s done so I can start making my own sites and I love tweaking and testing stuff as well so hopefully working with this site will teach me a lot.

A few days ago I grew impatient and set up 2 additional amazon niche sites I have designs/keywords/backlink strategy ready just waiting for some articles I ordered from @seodean in https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/seodeans-premium-amazon-affiliate-content-writing-service-money-site-content-affordable-rates.905860/page-11#post-9832563

    -----

My plan for the next 7 days:

Set up the site I bought from Chintoo and either buy a seo package or start planning a PBN.

Start posting articles on my 2 other sites and build some backlinks.

Set up social accounts for the websites, I was thinking FB/IG is that enough? Should I buy some followers/links for the SoMe accounts for social proof?

Find a good analytics service/addon for my sites (all my sites are WP, any suggestions?)

    ---

That’s all for now folks! I look forward to reading your feedback

    Good luck mate!
I don't like to gibe you bad news, but I have to.
1.150$ budget for SEO will be wnough only for keywords that has almost 0 competition on google and I am sure your niche will not be like this.
    2. Doing your own PBN with 150$. Hell no, with this money you can get 3-4 good domains, because I am sure you outsource them.
    3. SEO Packages(web 2.0, article directories, blog comments, edu links etc.) are not same effective as they used to be and they are indexing very slow.

I advice you to buy a low competition keyword from bhw, make a website with some content (doesn't have to look good until you get traffic on it) and start doing a IFTTT by yourself with branded anchors+ tier 2 links, social aignals + PBN Posts.

Good luck, if you need more help you can contact me :)

    Hello

    Progress since last time:

    - Received my WP site from Chintoo and transferred to my hosting etc.

    - Set up analytics and plugins for my sites

    - Created Amazon Associates accounts for 6 countries and linked them to my EasyAzon Pro plugin, I've also set up link localization so I cover Europe and North-America.

    - Created social accounts: FB,IG,Pinterest. Should I buy a few followers/likes for these? Any other social networks I should use aswell?

    - Ordered 2x1000 words and 1x2000 words blogposts bringing my total word count to 9000.

    - Researched backlink opportunities for my main site mainly through my competitor's backlinks and found atleast some opportuinities for highly contextual links.

I have not done much on the other two sites just some more KW research and made FB accounts to promote both the sites in groups. I have found several highly active groups for my niches so I'm excited to see if I can drive some traffic from those. Currently waiting on articles to be delivered to do more with these sites.

Now what I need to work on driving traffic to my primary site. I am leaning towards upping my budget and building a PBN. I would buy expired domains, build the sites myself, order some articles from the marketplace and write some myself.
@randomblackguy Really appreciate the feedback man! Do you think I should build a PBN? and do I really need to spend $40+ on each domain? $15-20 per domain and 10-15 domains is doable for me but I do not know how to plan my PBN size/strength in relation to kw competition. Is there some sort of magic formula for this?

    Thanks for following my journey!
