What's good BHW members, thanks for visiting my thread :)

I know what you're thinking though.
Another journey thread created by a teenager that's going to flop half way through the process. But I promise you this one will be different since I've already tasted a bit of success, and I know that there's going to be a lot more in the future.

The reason I'm creating this thread is because I have a lot of time on my hands & this will help me sort out my thoughts, since I'm extremely forgetful. This thread will capture my trial and error, and experimenting with new suppliers, trying new ideas etc. It's not going to be a daily thing though. Every 2-3 days most likely.

I'll be honest with anyone reading this:

    I'm NOT intelligent.
    I suck at math.
    I'm incredibly lazy.
I suck at academics in general.

A little background information before I get started though..
My name is Brent and I've been into IM since I was in grade 9. I've never really met any success .I tried list building, CPA, Adsense, Article writing, and all that junk. Being the lazy a$$ I am, I quit a lot of things. Never worked a day in my life.

Cutting the bullshh right now, my parents aren't rich. Their factory workers. They use to be on well fare and my mistakes costed them $4,000 which I plan to re-pay off once I've saved up enough money.

What I've achieved so far since March 2012:

    • Roughly $5,000 through eBay
    • $2,000 through Facebook
    • $800 through classifieds
    • 923 Facebook friends on my business account

    Method of Use
The method that I've been using since march is buy low, sell high with a niche I've been into for my entire life. I'm purchasing these products through Chinese manufacturers and websites like aliexpress, DHGATE, and taobao. I'm re-selling them online through various forums and mainly through the US eBay. I'm also selling them on craigslist & kijiji. I've also created a facebook account to sell my items to local kids as-well.

I plan on expanding by becoming the main supplier to small stores & other cities with my product. Not only that but I also want to try purchasing pallets/truckloads from liquidated companies in the near future, so I'm saving up money for that as-well. I also want to start selling on Amazon soon.

Goals by the end of 2012:
Purchase 2 plane tickets for my parents to Laos
Attain my G2 so I can do deliveries
    3,000 Facebook Friends
    Top Rated Seller On eBay
    $40,000
    200 eBay Feedback

    The tool I'm using:
    Auctiva

    Things I've learned so far:
Business money is business money. You don't keep it in your pocket to spend, but you keep it circulating to gain more.
Sending a package via Surface to is not a good idea.
No matter how high the fee's, eBay is the best market place.

Don't be so hard on yourself, there aren't many people that could manage to generate that much money from selling products online. Definitely shows you have intelligence and drive for success also calculating expenses etc, you are doing very well. Great goals, good luck!

I'm slowly working on the laziness Reinie :p & thanks for that upper Execute. Really appreciate the support guys!

Also to rickydzine since I can't PM yet - I'm assuming you're talking about shipping to customers & not importing, but it really depends on the niche & whether or not the prices are competitive. For now I'm buying bulk polymailers & I get free boxes from my dads workplace to save the costs & I don't add a tracking number since it's costly here in Canada.

But if you're talking about importing, you have to find a supplier that deals with a lot of packages so you can receive a huge EMS discount. Really sorry I can't help you out more though!

You'll never reach your goal in the desired timeframe if you continue being lazy. Nothing changes if nothing changes!

I don't want to put any pressure on you but there are many other failed journeys where they claim in the beginning that ''this time it's different''
Anyway I wish you good luck!

Thanks for the motivation on overcoming my laziness guys. The way I see it is that if I scale it up with the right amount of money, and keep purchasing inventory at a fast pace, I'll break my habit and reach my goal. All I need is more money since my niche is 100-150% ROI.

Kauhukomedia - This is true but trust me I'm determined to make this work. You'll see it in the end homie :)

    UPDATE 1 - 08/08/12

So today out of 120 feedback, I received my first negative which was pretty upsetting. Trying to keep the "customer is always right" mindset, but the guy had a stupid reason for leaving it -.- I still made $90 this morning, even after that negative so I guess it isn't a big deal but I'm still working on getting it revised.

The Top Rated Seller symbol keeps reappearing on my account from time to time, so I guess my account is still in good standing.

Some local kids messaged me about selling my product so I'm going to try that out for a while and see where it gets me. My thinking is that I can hand them the things that are hard to sell myself, or are poor quality.

Currently sending in another huge order for Taobao agent & my aliexpress supplier. Spending about $3k and hoping to make 5-6k when most of the inventory is sold. I'll tell you guys how it goes.

    EDIT**
If anyone can tell me a better auction tool than Auctiva that'd be really appreciated. Really hate how they advertise their service when I use their templates on my eBay auctions.

    Update 2 13/08/12
So I broke down my main goal into parts and I'm looking to aim for 10k per month for the next four months, excluding August. For this month I'm aiming towards 3k. Not going to lie, this thread has made me more motivated and less lazy.

I've come to the realization that for the next 4 months, I'll need to earn about $298 per day. Going to need more if I don't achieve this months set goal.

Accomplished within the past 5 days:
Removed negative feedback by offering complete refund
    Paypal recently asked for SSN
    $120 offline
    1.1k online

Glad to hear you figured out what you want to do DMMXII. Hope to see you making a journey thread sometime soon :p

Also to the dude that pm'ed me (since I can't PM yet),

    Update 15/08/12

Since eBay isn't time consuming at all and I need something more to do, I've decided to add more streams of income instead of solely focusing on eBay. As the saying goes "Never put all your eggs into one basket".

This thread is going to be my success & trials with the following:
    Product Creation
    List Building

Honestly, I have no experience what so ever with both of them which is why I hired a coach from the warrior forum for the product creation part. I'm expecting the mistakes to be minimal since he's reviewing all of my work :p

Sales within the last two days:
    $20 offline
    $205.82 online
    payments.png
One again thanks for the support everyone!

Congrats on your current wish you the best, and be careful with Paypal if they decide to limit your account that may very well be the end of it. So transfer your money asap.

Also why dont you try to make a website, and link customers there? It could lower the fees.
