    Hi guys,

Can I just run this by you for confirmation?

Over the next few days I'm going to create some tier 1 web 2.0 sites.

Am I right in understanding that each one has a selection of 5-10 high quality articles and links to different pages of my money site with various keywords?

What other crucial factors should be included with a tier 1 site?

    Jez

This may be something you are already doing but make your web 2.0's look like real blogs. Change the default layout, add images and videos. Dont make it cookie cutter.

People use different methods but why dont you use a combo approach, it looks more natural anyway.

Have some site point just to the main page, others point just to deep pages and finally another set that does both.

Would you add adsense to these sites?

There is no rule regarding monetizing your tiers. As long as you are not throwing fake traffic at the site I dont see what issue it could cause.

The idea is to make each site on tier one a real honest to goodness mini authority site. As such if it generates traffic on its own it gives the benefit of being a kick ass 1st tier link and then the potential to earn you an extra few dollars per month.

I would not make it overly monetized but a few bucks every month from say 20 or 30 tier one properties would not hurt you. :)

I am sure some will disagree but most authority pages have some sort of advertising on them. Keep it readable and good for the viewer and I dont believe you will have an issue.

    Make sure it's theme based.

Having 2.0's that cover a broad set of topics (news sites) look spammy.

Try linking out to 1 or 2 authority sites, similar to your niche. LIke msn auto's if you're in the automotive niche.

Interlink your posts when possible and use both deep linking and TLD linking.

    Good luck

I usually dont use lots of time for my tiers. I just set up blog, change theme, post one-three articles with 2 links in every article. After that I social bookmark and ping them - then I ping my social bookmarks (40-60% of them), after that I throw spam links to those social bookmarks and move to next 1st tier. Sometimes I interlink some first tiers to make them share the link juice.
