2 months ago I was playing soccer at my school's field and some undercover cops were passing by and stopped me and the other guys and issues us pink summons for trespassing. I really didn't know that I can't be there because I have been playing over there for about a year and never got in trouble and there are no no trespassing signs or what so ever on the fences.

And yesterday I got caught again and I was also playing soccer and I was issued another summon, what should I do now? please help I am scared (I am 17) some people are making me so worried about this, and I didn't tell my parent because I don't want them to be worried about me and I know they will exaggerate and overcomplicate things.

So what should I do now ? and what's going to happen at the court ?

PS : I got some of my teachers to type some letters of recommendation for me and I took pictures all around the school (of the fences) to prove that there are no signs up and I also go to that school, so is there any hope for me ? Is it gonna go on my record ? I can't afford a lawyer either. :( I been having a bad time lately for a lot of stuff that happened to me and now I got another summon and I am really worried about it.

PSS : I live in nyc (queens)

PSSS : I have a clean record, and I have never got into trouble with the cops / law.

PSSSS : I am not here to be preached, what happened has already happened there is no way to change that and I know I have mad a mistake ( the second time) but I am only asking to get out of this problem.

Well the sad fact is that in the US you are always better off with your own lawyer, that said,I can't see any decent judge doing much about this given the facts you have stated. Good luck with this.

Check into NYC law. In Texas, You are not trespassing on private property unless signs are posted, or you refuse to leave the property when told to.

Contact your DA and ask for a court appointed lawyer, request a trial by jury. No way I am punishing a kid for this, I dibt many will.

Parents loves you, so say them and make them understand, let anything be your faith, any way you should face and one day your parents will know, so the early you say, you can keep down that fear from your mind.

Dude, the first thing to do is tell your parents. You make it worst and become vulnerable if you don't. Get a lawyer if the school and your parents can't resolve it and you'll pull tens of thousands out of that school.

Yea, tell your parents. I dont think its a big deal, you were playing soccer not vandalizing. Those cops were douches. When they caught me and my friends they just asked us to leave. Were those summons warning? You should go with your folks to the precinct to find out what to do. It doesnt seem like a big deal to me tbh

He means if that if you are in the right (which is why you need to check with a decent lawyer), you might make a ton of money. :)

If you are enrolled as a student there I don't really see how this is trespassing.

Tell your parents and talk to your head teacher. I think you'll be ok.

I am but they told that no body is supposed to be there after school hours. I was like WTF !!!

And today i went to talk to my principal about it but she wasn't there so I talked to some nice lady over there and she told me to talk to some man who was sitting (assistant principal) and there was a lot of people in the room who sympathized with me but that mother fucker was like "GOOD" I got pissed I said "you happy that I got a summon ?" He said (with a provoking smile on his stupid face) "YES !!" I was gonna curse at him but I thought I would just leave.

They asked me for my name and demanded ID, I was like "am I being detained ?" The cop said "No, but we just need an age verification."

You will more than likely just incur a small fine for trespassing. The city is desperately looking for increased revenue and its sad to see them resorting to issuing citations to kids actually outside playing sports.

The way the authorities and the assistant principal reacted in this matter is the EXACT reason this country is going downhill. They have little care and no common sense. Everyone is wrapped up in National Security. Terrorism has accounted for 8 deaths since 9/11, yet cancer and heart disease over 17 MILLION. Also that 76% of 2012 High School Graduates cannot even qualify for the military they are so dumb.

Don't fix the health, food industries, and education system... just give citations to kids outside playing. I can't stand hearing shit like this.

You'll jut get a fine, maybe $25 - $75 per infraction or similar. Best of luck.
