    Hi guys,

A friend of mine is launching a new product. It's a supplement in the health niche (not fitness or weight loss related) and he want's me to help him out choosing the right affiliate program for it. Should he make his own private affiliate program (using iDevAffiliate or some other software) or is it better to choose one of the popular affiliate networks out there? Personally I think it's better to go for some of the established affiliate networks, but as far as I know CJ is too expensive to list your product... Are paydotcom or shareasale good alternatives? How about MarketHealth?

Is it a digital product? Then Clickbank is the best option to start. They manage all the affiliate tracking and refunds properly and their order processing system is one among the best in industry. So you only need to concentrate on providing support for the product. Going in with a private affiliate system will be troublesome since you are only starting.

btw, clickbank has a one time fee of only $49.95 and you can add upto 500 products without paying anything extra..

Go with the CPA networks...that's where the big affiliates roll

Thanks for the replays... as I mentioned in my previous post it's a supplement, not a digital product and as far as I know clickbank is good for digital products only.... Comission Junction is the best from what i've heared, but they want too much to list your product in their network... Regarding CPA, which networks would you suggest and what are the costs for having your product listed there?
