Hello. I'm considering launching a fitness product with its own "twist", so-to-speak, on the typical fitness market launch. I think my particular take on the launch will generate a higher-than-normal conversion rate, but I'm not sure where to start. From an affiliate's point of view, is it preferable to operate through ClickBank or through e-Junkie? With EJ, less of the profit is taken out for the network, but with CB my product will be displayed in a marketplace and thus will garner more attention from affiliates (something that EJ lacks).

As an affiliate, which would you prefer? Or, if you're a vendor, what are your thoughts?

Advice is appreciated, and I will take it to heart! :)

I would say Clickbank is your best bet. And better still do a pre-launch on BHW so we can get frist bite at the commissions :)

That sounds like a great idea. Is it possible to run an affiliate program through CB without placing the product in the marketplace?

Why would you not want the product in the marketplace? Otherwise other affilaites cannot find it.

Or maybe you refering to the pre launch....in which case you just need to give BHW affilaites advance notice prior to it appearing in the market place thats all...

CB is best for affiliates but e-junkie goes straight to your PP acc.

Alright, thanks. You were right about pre-launch; my point was just to allow BHWers a chance at getting all of their marketing vehicles in place before the rest of CB.

E-junkie is (IMO) better if you're just interested in a digital delivery of your product, nothing else. As everyone above said, ClickBank is the way to go (they have 100k+ affiliates)

If you are interested in getting more sales then definitely go with clickbank. As everyone else said you will get wayyyy more affiliates and their marketplace is perfect for gathering lots of affiliates.

If this is your first product launch you probably want to make sure you test out your product before you launch. Get some statistics about your website regarding conversion rates, refund rates, chargeback rates etc. Also when you are testing your website make sure you tweak your website to increase your conversion rates and experiment with different colors, pictures, testimonials etc. If you post stats like this affiliates will love you and you will get way more affiliates promoting your website in the long run.

Also offer lots of affiliate marketing materials like banners, keyword lists, articles, blog posts, squeeze pages, and e-mail senders.

Once you have done your testing and provided all of your affiliate marketing materials post your product launch on marketing forums (obviously put it up on BHW first!) but then go to other forums and announce your launch there giving your affiliates stats and promotional tools for your website.

So as a vendor it's probably better to launch your product on clickbank because you will get more affiliates marketing your product. Don't worry about clickbank taking a higher percentage of your profits because their huge list of affiliates will make up for this. Also as an affiliate getting set up with clickbank is probably easiest. You can literally make an account in 5 minutes and can be promoting products instantly. So as a vendor and an affiliate clickbank is definitely the better choice.

Good luck with your product launch buddy can't wait to see how things turn out. Keep us updated on your progress we will all be cheering for you!
