Latest concept art I've done in photoshop

I've been playing with photoshop for months now and this is my latest work, hope you guys will like it. Hey keep those logo/banner requests coming!!!

Hmmm.... looks like a Chrome Layer, A Few Low Occupacity Boxes and Writing. Just Filters and Layers.

Good for a beginner though, i surgest you join up to a Design Forum and learn things. Study things individually - I would start with text because you can create great looking Logo's which are just text. Search for "tutorial" along with things like "photoshop modern text" or "photoshop gold text" etc.

and who said i'm not a beginner? lol didn't you notice i said i've been playing ps for a few months?

I will say as an experienced user, it is damn good for only have been using PS for a few months. Keep it up and I am sure with a little more practice you can put legi0n out of a job.

Would like to see it with something other than that BG, makes some layers not stand out, But other than that Great Job, Keep practicing and you will be top notch if your doing that after a few months. Turn it into profit also, Go over to some freelance sites and bid on some simple logo designs.

Those will help you become better than ever, I used them when I firs started out and still sometime refer back to them when I am looking to design something unique. They offer great tutorials and ideas.

Trial and error and dont give up, PS is like anything else. practice, practice, practice.

thanks xplicit, i joined guru and elance, but they hardly have anything for newbie professionals. Tried designerquote.net you have to buy credits which is lame. Do you have any other suggestions?

Dont know if ya replied before I edited the post, But I listed quite a few sites that you can check out. There is one more that is freaking awesome but I cannot think of the name of it, I will keep looking and post it back for ya. Best site I think for PS tutorials and free downloads.

I believe its a good start and photoshop is not something that can be learned overnight anyways, actually I have been using it for a while and even now I keep stumbling (when playing around) onto new things. I will send you a PM in a bit with some info about where you can find work, and how to win some projects, will also add some tips to reduce the learning curve for some text effects in PS.

Why not post them here for all to see? I am an experienced PS user but you cant never learn to much. I wouldnt mind hearing some tips ya might have and some job places. We are all a family, dont be stingy...lol

first things first:
Easy things to learn that Pay in Freelance Work:
Web 2.0 style designs, logos
PS to XHTML (it is easier than it sounds, you may know it already too)

(Some brilliant gradient and layer styles are available that will without even tweaking take you to another level altogether)
(for PS brushes etc)More Importantly: Goto Scriptlance in the beginning for work, use a different brandname than you intend to use in the future, as right now you need to learn while getting paid. And if all goes well you can always use the reviews anyways.

Be extremly professional
Posting a bid needs to be the last thing you do,
Chat with the prospective clients exploring as much as you can,
Ask all possible questions,

buddy, I dont mind sharing but I dint want to post it on the public forums as this is going to be up on google in no time. The problem that arises is the very people who mess up, which would create the opportunities on freelance websites dominated by these people also get to read this. And frankly the last thing I want is for them to learn and tricks. While I wanted to tell mobius not to post the scriptlance portion, I removed the last two paragraphs, that went on to explain it further, hence I am glad I removed that part. PM each other this stuff, go crazy, but keep it off the public access, the last thing anyone want is to give away our competitive advantage to our competitors. I charge between 20-100$ an hour, they charge between 2-10$, and what diffrentiaties me to them is This!
