I am using both but I guess that about 80% powerful desktop by 27 inches and 20% a skinny laptop.
    Works perfect :)

Powerful desktops with dual 24" screens on each. I have a laptop but only for emails and travel. I don't know how anyone does serious work on a single screen anymore. I've run duals for years and hate when I have to work on a single screen. Duals in front for work and a laptop to my right for keeping emails at bay - that's how my work station looks. Well, also a 16 camera DVR screen to my left showing the perimeter of my warehouse, storefront and employee areas. Gotta keep tabs on the surroundings and employees. No games and no TV anywhere around me. I'm serious about work and making money. Very little else interests me ATM.

I'm travelling in Asia right now, I was really missing my old desktop until I got the HP HDX16T. It's a beast of a mchine with a 17 inch screen. It can run 2 high end games, firefox with 50 tabs and play a DVD without breaking a sweat.

I used to hate laptops and couldn't imagine working on one, but now it's great. Still need a desk though, or the backache starts.

I use my netbook for everything. It allows me to travel and work at the same time. I'll never own a desktop again.

Old Sony laptop at the moment.

Waiting for new Asus G73 to be released here before I upgrade.

Mobility more important to me right now than raw power. Have my eyes on a dual CPU workstation for later this year when I am more settled though.

I switch between two laptops, backup my files to disk, and critical files to mediafire. Makes for maximum flexibility, portability, and piece of mind insurance that I can keep working even if the house burns down.

Ive got a nice 3.6Ghz core2duo desktop with 24"+22" screens which does me nicely, plus a couple of laptops if needed.

I use my shiny new WIN7 laptop with TeamViewer to my XP system -- Best of both worlds.

Then there's Virtual machines, which many say are the way to go, my friends...

I use an notebook for most of my work. It's great being able to make $$$ and being in the same room as the wife, being able to watch basketball and NASCAR.

There are times when I need to clear my mind from everything else going on and I go into another room with the PC. Many apps are best kept on a desktop so that you can do your normal work on a notebook and then RDP into the desktop when needed.
