Is it better to pay someone who knows what they are doing to make me a landing page or is it better to go with something like Unbounce.
I don't know anything about LPs. I just have a blog in a niche that has an offerring on Ring Partner. So I bouht some banners with the number on it for my blog (Fiverr gig) and now I need to create a LP to send traffic to.

If I go with Unbounce, or someone like them, I can test different LPs to see how they perform but I need to know what to do. If I go with a professional designer they know what to do but each change is going to cost.

I am a new guy, what option is best suited for someone like me.

Is there a better option? Like a WP plugin or anything.

As a designer, my clients gave me their competitors' landing pages and encourage me to brainstorm ideas that will set their landing page apart.

My successful clients has only 3 instructions.

    1. Make it simple with clear designs with your points in it.
    2. Choose the best color to your demographic
    3. Make the CTA standout in the design.

It always depends on what type of campaign you are running but it should always has these points. I am not selling my services here, I am just willing to help. Currently, I have a full time job making adult banners and landing pages as I am working with a 4 figure a day client. If you have any questions about landing creations please don't hesitate to ask.

    1. I think I can do this
    A. Addiction sucks
    B. With help all the bad stuff can stop
    C. Call this number for that help because you deserve a life
    D. maybe a pic with someone triumphant over drugs (as long as it doesn't take away from the phone number)
that is simplistic but basically covers it doesn't it?

    2. I was unaware there is a best color for a demographic. I am in addiction niche so I my people are anyone with a drug problem but,I will be getting traffic from direct sources like DNTX and ZeroPark, and TrafficVance to begin with. So that usually means an older audience with less internet experience. Some of the traffic will be generated by toolbars that have been downloaded with other software (adware stuff). These guys are not tech savvy but they know how to call a phone number. What color does that sort of demographic like? OR better yet, where would I go to find out what colors that demographic likes. I appreciate your time and don't want to waste it so I am happy to do the research.

    3. I don't know what a CTA is but I assume it is the phone number that I want them to call. Everything is about getting them to call that number. So I would not want any distractions to take away from that.

    Is that about right?
Can you recommend a good resource for me to use? That way I could get the basics and not waste your time on them. maybe you could help with the more advanced question if your time permitted.

    Thanks

    1. Its all about testing A/B testing, sometimes a landing page with text only works best and sometimes not. It all depends on your demographic. What i will advise you to do is go to your competitors LP to get a picture of what langing pages is working in your niche. Sometimes you need to remove or replace a line of text, etc etc etc. TESTING TESTING TESTING

    2. https://blog.crazyegg.com/2014/01/08/colors-in-landing-pages/ this is a good source

    3. CTA is call to action, you can make research on google about this.

The best way to do this is to see your competitors' landing pages and make improvements. Think out of the box, what do their landing pages have in common and what more you can offer- set your landing page apart from your competitors but make sure the information you add is legit.

If you know wordpress means you can go with wordpress landing page theme.
There are more landing page themes available you can easily make it on your own.
Otherwise the best way is go with the professionals they make it for you.
Cost for change will take effect in the traffic for your site.

I am reviewing the material on colors and everything else at Crazy Egg now. But I made this. It doesn't look like other peoples landing pages. But it talks about the things that drunks are worried about when they know they have a problem. I was a drunk, so those are common reason for wanting to change.
    However
That doesn't mean it is a good landing page.
Here it is. Remember I am still reading up on color schemes

    http://ragingalcoholic.com/go/nearby-addiction-rehab-centers/

I build it with InBound Now, WP plugin, called Landing Pages. This is the free version

Kind of hard to read with the transparent background behind the text.

Looks a bit too plain too.

How do I do that? I can't find the Thanks or anything on this new board.
I will figure it out and get you some respect for your hard work. It is much appreciated.

    Edit:
I found thanks but not "Like". Where is that.

    ...............................

I also clicked on 5 paid ads and saw the landing pages. Theirs are bright and promising, mine is dark and dreadful.
They are selling a bright and shiny future and I am selling an escape from misery.
Obviously I am wrong because no one else is doing it like mine. And because you guys are pro's and say so.
So I will look for a similar template to their landing pages and try to make mine better but with a little more positive outlook on things.

Tell me where the "Like" is and I will show my gratitude publicly. And thanks for bringing it to my attention. I usually thank anyone who offers anything relevant but I am preoccupied with the LP. I apologize for my neglect and I thank you for the reminder.

Hard to read, too long and not simple, messy design.

I would make the background less transparent and the phone number in a different color. As the number is your CTA, it should be the most standing out on your page. Otherwise, it's a good start!

There are so many repeat call to actions. I suggest you to be more creative, one page without scrolling down is enough.

If you can't provide them reasons for scrolling down, then you shouldn't be doing this type of landing page. Use one page, put all of your images in one resize your images. Or you can create 4 separate landing pages for each photos then test what works best.

One more thing, be clear to what you are offering.

Just to be clear, it doesn't matter that they will be coming from keyword searches. I still need to spell it out for them.

What if I shrink the size of the segments and the images, also reducing the size of the buttons. So that it is still sequential (because the pictures tell the story, I know, I am a drunk, although I am no longer practicing). and just have a big number at the bottom.

Maybe I should make one, and if you still don't like it I will ditch the idea entirely. I am a member at Inbound Now so I can get all sorts of different templates to try this on.

    Thanks again for your help.

I'll do it like an A/B testing but I won't run it unless you think it is OK to proceed.

    Your help is invaluable.

    Edit:
Never mind, that idea doesn't work out. At all. But I would still like to know if KW traffic makes a difference. I don't think I mentioned that I was using that type of traffic.
Or maybe it just doesn't matter where the traffic comes from.

It matters everytime, how are you promoting your banners? are you using keywords to rank your landing page? Let me know
