A competitor has steadily increased in Google for a number of important keywords since last fall to the point where they now sit between position #1 and #3 for these. I took a look at the site, and it appears that he has: made a duplicate of all of his pages keyword stuffed the title of the new page and 302 redirected the old page to the new The title tag on all the pages takes the same form. The first 18 words are 9 keywords (all 2 words each and take 122 characters with spaces). This is followed by a colon and a 2 word description of the page as follows: kw 1, kw 2, kw 3, kw 4, kw 5, kw 6, kw 7, kw 8, kw 9: Page kw He has had great success now with google using this strategy for the last 3-4 months. Should I emulate it, report it, wait for it to explode?
are you sure that he is having success with KW stuffing? Even though i dont know his domain, i am 80% sure he is between position 1 and 3 DESPITE KW stuffing. Google is against this and it has been proven since last year some time that this does not work anymore. Also if you duplicate someone elses page then you best make sure your content is unique else all you shall do is lower your rankings and help increase his
He has been on page 2-3 for those keywords for the last 5 years before this revision. The keyword stuffing is only in the <title> tag, and the first 18 words of every page's title tag is the same. I know Google claims to be against this kind of thing, but are they saying one thing and doing another? Also: I would not copy his content, but I was contemplating duplicating his strategy
I just found a few great keywords that had sites that all they were was pretty much keyword stuffed. No back links to them and they were ranking #1. Used UAW and now I'm #1.
