I thought it was going to be months to get my penalty removed. I got the manual action penalty on the 22 of september. 8 days later I got this. I hadnt checked my account until today. I guess its time to start my project back up :))

What I did was removed all my SAPE links and got social signals. Hope this helps!!

Reconsideration request for http://www.mysite.c0m/: Manual spam action revoked
    September 30, 2013

We received a reconsideration request from a site owner for http://www.mysite.c0m/.

Previously the webspam team had taken action on your site because we believed it violated our quality guidelines. After reviewing your reconsideration request, we have revoked this action.

You can use the Manual Actions page in Webmaster Tools to view actions currently applied to your site. It may take some time before recent updates to your site's status are reflected on this page and in our search results.

Of course, there may be other issues with your site that could affect its ranking. Google determines the order of search results using a series of computer programs known as algorithms. We make hundreds of changes to our search algorithms each year, and we employ more than 200 different signals when ranking pages. As our algorithms change and as the web (including your site) changes, some fluctuation in ranking will happen from time to time as we make updates to present the best results to our users.

If your site continues to have trouble in our search results, please see our Help Center for help with diagnosing the issue.

Thank you for helping us to maintain the quality of search results for our users.

Kung Fu Panda 2.1? and I thought it was Penguin 2.1
And yes we are interested in success stories on how to get out of Penguin 2.1. Not sure but some people are reporting that they came back from Penguin 2.1 after they used disavow tool from Google. I haven't tried it yet, to be honest.

    I think you are confused.
You had a manual action taken on your site becouse of SAPE links, you removed them and they accepted the reconsideration request. It had nothing to do with their Panda or Penguin update.

By the way have you regained your rankings?
Also please post the request you sent them (removing of course domain names etc), it will help other people too.

Yes you need to use the disavow tool. I have heard people saying its an admission of guilt and will confirm to google that you were involved in link pyramids or the SAPE network so your site will never recover. I can't fully say if this is true or not because my site is still very young, but the traffic has returned to what it was before I was penalised. That being said, in my experience, the disavow tool is there for a reason and that reason is to help YOU. Do what Google says and then get social signals to make him happy. Before you know it, the penalty is removed..

Btw, one guy posted "if your serps didnt return to normal this post is worthless." I dont want to go as far as saying that guy is mentally slow, but when you use the disavow tool, youre basically telling google not to pay attention to certain links that made you rank in the past. Because of this, of course you wont have the same serp positions as before your site's penalty was implemented. But the point is you dont have to start from sratch which is a big deal. Well, at least it is for me because I dont have bookoo cash to waste on test trials.
