Just come across Kosmix today (though it was online since 2005) in search of autoblogging reference. It astonishes me in a few ways:

    1. nice and neat look
    2. linking directly to content source page mostly, don't even bother to show an excerpt
    3. do not open a new window for source, looking into page source it use only nofollow, but not using the target tag at all -- so people leave the site very fast, alexa reports the average staying time is less than 2 minutes
    4. i don't see any adsense there, at less on the front and many pages I visited.
    5. still I think they make a lot of money on affiliate sales, they present products nicely from woot, dealnewes, amazon, smartertravel... they only partner with big guys
    6. majority, if not all, of the site content are aggregated from other sources and they have a PR7!

How difficult it is for other people to replicate their business model? But not many sites have such achievement, so there must be some tricks I missed reading.....

well i think they consider themselves a search engine but yeah if that were a one man shop, I'd say awesome job.
