    Kindle Fire HD Tablet!

How big is this going to be in sales figures?

Amazon on Thursday heated up the tablet competition with the introduction of new Kindle Fire HD tablets, including a model with LTE capabilities and another model with an 8.9-inch screen that can display images at a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels.

Looks good, but it's all about how much it will cost, the older version of kindle fire was pretty cheap, in fact, it was so cheap that Amazon was losing 8$ for each tablet sold, even though they were winning the 8$ back pretty fast in ebook sales.

Unfortunately it's also running Android... it would be really nice if it would have Windows RT (since iOS is impossible). Android gets stuck a lot, it's multi-tasking kills the battery pretty fast and on a every-day tablet with such a huge screen to power with so many pixels and powerful hardware... let's just say it doesn't get nearly as practical as the iPad.

Its actually 3 kindles, the basic version replaces the old KF and is priced the same. $200. The 8 inch one will cost $400-$500 depending on if you want 4G LTE or not.

The retail giant has set its sight firmly on Apple with the the Fire tablets.

One has a 7inch screen, the same as the much rumoured iPad mini, while a new Fire HD has an 8.9inch screen.

The costliest, 4G-ready version will go for $499, while a Wi-Fi version is $299.
