When creating a link on a web 2.0/pbn domain/other source that allows articles, is it best practice to include the full target kw in the articles title? Or does this not matter?

eg. If I was targeting something like "android marshmallow download". Should I be including "android marshmallow download" in the backlinks title or just something android related

For the past few years, I have always avoided using the full main kw but still had good results. However, I cant help but think that I could be getting better results by including the full main KW (even though it could end up competing with my money site)

ps. to anyone that has just skimmed through this post, Im NOT talking about the title on my moneysite, only the titles for my backlinks

    Well it depends,

Lets say you have this particular parasite that you think you will be able to drive traffic to your money site, then it is pretty reasonable to SEO optimize that parasite. And the good thing is that both your parasite and money site will be in top 10 :D. Tested and confirm, absolutely a great way to increase traffic.

But if for backlinking purpose only, i won't do this, it is a huge flag don't you think? You got 20 web 2.0s and all of them have your keyword in the title.

Or you can do do this instead, create 20 web 2.0s, each 2.0 targets different long tails, and you SEO all of them, isn't that better? You now have wider range of keywords targeted. And of course, more natural too.

    Just my 2cent though.

    You make some great points

I have never really considered trying to drive traffic to the money site by using parasites w/longtails. I have always just used web2s to funnel linkjuice. This is mostly due to my lazyness though lol

Well it really depends on what you are trying to achieve, if you use them just for juicing up then obviously, their purpose is only for juicing up your money site. But with a little bit more work it be a traffic source as well.

You can target different keyword variation, let say "buy iphone 6s" is the keyword you are trying to target, but you also want to target

    "iphone 6s for sale"
    "cheap iphone 6s"
"where can i buy iphone 6s"
    "Reputable iphone 6s retailer"

Obviously, it doesn't make any sense if post all of these articles in your website, since they are clearly target the same group of searchers. You can use your web 2.0s to target these

It can be a great source of traffic, your money site obviously might rank for these terms when your page authority increases as well (not Moz PA mate). But hey why not some extra stuffs :D

I believe keyword diversity also plays a role, plus generic keywords whenever possible. I am not a seo guy, but I have sheldom seen any problem with this strategy. "Do not repeat your keyword in any link", is what I follow for my stuffs. Not sure if anyone will agree though.
