    Kim Dotcom and Two-Factor Authentication

Kim back in the news, when is he never,

    On twitter
    Kim Dotcom
Google, Facebook, Twitter, Citibank, etc. offer Two-Step-Authentication. Massive IP infringement by U.S. companies. My innovation. My patent

    Kim Dotcom
Google, Facebook, Twitter, I ask you for help. We are all in the same DMCA boat. Use my patent for free. But please help funding my defense.

    Kim Dotcom
All of our assets are still frozen without trial. Defending our case will cost USD 50M+. I want to fight to the end because we are innocent.

He owns the Two-Factor Authentication patent too (or a version of it that would have to go through the court process to validate in any legal dispute)

    US Patent US6078908
    https://www.google.com/patents/US6078908

Kim Schmitz was his previous name

Whether you like or hate the dude, he is a fighter that is for sure?

Wow, the patent description is rather clear - he owns two-factor authentication IP! And check out the names of the companies whose patents reference it...

Why the f*ck didn't he monetize this? He could have been licensing it out to hundreds of companies all over the world for the past 13 years and have made at least 10x more than with his download site and not have faced legal troubles like he did.

I'm not sure he has a legal troubles. Honestly, the entire story looks more illegal than legal (on behalf of US gov). Something stinks in that story very badly.

I couldn't care less if he's innocent or not. Fact of the matter is: if you're a kitten you don't go to eat from the tiger's dish unless you want to become his food. If you people still believe laws are made to give you rights then you are simply naive. I don't care how innocent you are, if your budget is $1000 and your enemy's budget is $1billion then you're screwed. Is that simple! In the case of Kim things are even worse because his enemy is not a single organization but an entire group having same interests.

@lancis do understand there's a massive difference between moral or what you think is fair and actual laws.

He has legal troubles otherwise he wouldn't need up to $50,000,000 to defend himself in court. Whether he wins or not, its still going to tie up alot of time and not allow him to focus on other business ventures fully.

My question is how is he still staying at his home, launching new businesses, paying staff, legal fees, pay for music videos to be made, website development, etc. When he's only able to access ~50K of his assets per month.

I think someone stashed away millions upon millions in hidden bank accounts. Just sayin'.

As for the two factor authentication stuff, idk about all that. My dad was using stuff like that a long time ago. I can't remember exactly how many years, but that stuff has been around for quite a while.

LakeForest I cannot reply (as the subject could get me in trouble) because I got Mod warning for posting an image as fun but was deemed as P o l i t i c s, the Mod voiced his opinion which is fine by me. I respect the rules of BHW...
