    What does the itch have to do with the kidney stones? Go see your doctor if you don't feel well. I have a business degree so I can't diagnose it :D:

    And I don't think anyone on here can help either. Good luck.

    Kidney stones don't cause a severe itch. They cause sharp stabbing pains. You would certainly know the feeling, as the tiny stones pass their way through the kidney's tissue into your bladder.. My wife gets them, it's no fun. If you are susceptible to kidney stones; avoid coffee and obviously milk and cheese products..

    Itchiness could be a sign of an allergic reaction.. With all the rain during this time of year, lots of plants start sprouting and pollinating.. More pollen = more allergy problems . Take some benadryl and see if your itchiness goes away. If it doesn't go to a dr . :D

    Man if you have kidney stone then I feel for you. I had one about 3 years ago and was curled up in a tight ball on the floor. Only after large doses of morphine could I even begin to relax. It was the worst pain I ever encountered and I once crashed in a motorcycle race and saw that I had two elbows on one arm, one real one, and one where both bones were broke and popping out through my skin (and leathers) and my arm was just flapping..

    Don't joke about kidney stones

    Beer. Is there anythng it can't do?

    About Kidney stones, avoid Coke too. Sweet syrupy goodness congeals in the kidneys and creates stones.

    That said, it sounds lke the OP has something completely different to Kidney Stones, Kidney Stones DO NOT cause itching. Skin diseases, parasitic infections and heroin withdrawal do.*

    * List of causes of itchyness by no mean exhaustive, consult your GP.

    Have you been abusing vicodin the last 2 weeks? ;)

    Changed your soap?

    Changed your diet?

    Been in the woods? (poison oak/ivy)

    Took a bath?

    I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV.

    I've dislocated my shoulder, and that hurt like hell. But that was nothing compared to a kidney stone. I woke up late for work one day and jolted up out of bed and felt a sharp pain in my lower back, to the left of my spine. Thought I just pulled a muscle; the pain got much Much worse (I have a pretty high pain tolerance) :chairfall but Man; you would absolutely know the distinct Jabbing in your kidney. I wish it was an itch. It was a 3mm stone! :Eyecrazy:

    I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.......well...maybe :cool:

    '...Severe itching can be a liver problem, not kidneys.

    Among its many functions, the liver is responsible for:

    * Cleansing the body of toxic substances, parasites, fungi, yeast, mold and other unwanted microscopic life forms
    * Detoxifying and eliminating chemicals, poisons and other toxins
    * Metabolizing estrogen
    * Controlling blood sugar
    * Storage of nutrients, including vitamin A

    Itching from liver disease is actually not due to the disease itself but by irritants on the skin that the liver normally takes care of but can't handle in a weakened state. Chemicals, toxins, fungus, parasites, and other substances may not bother most people because their livers dispose of them. People with a lot of itching problems and also those with highly sensitive skin "feel" things more because their livers can't handle the routine assaults from the outside world that most people with well functioning livers don't even notice. Also, Bile products deposited on the skin may cause severe itching.

    Check here for other symptoms of liver disease:

    Hopefully all it is an allergic reaction to your new cologne.

    On the topic of kidney stones. I read a funny home remedies ebook for stones a few years ago. Techniques included drinking asparagas soup (yech!) and jumping on a concrete surface in an attempt to dislodge the stone. The best part was the ebook was selling for like $50
