I recently found some keywords in Google keyword tool and I immediately thought that this was a perfect traffic source. So I wrote about a 1,000 word post and it went to the top just like I thought it would. Just because the competition didn't have titles, in url, alt tags, onsite seo, backlinks. Well now it did a total reversal and my perfect post is on page 4 where no one can see it. I even did some off site seo on some blogs related to my niche. How should I over come this problem?

I even did some more keyword research but none of the keywords even come close. I would have to create another article based on those keywords. When I exchange the "for" with "with" there are no local monthly searches.

You can overcome this problem by building back-links to your site and the post subpage. You should get some quality back-links and the page will jump back to top in a short time after you do it..

combine on page SEO and Off page SEO. building backlink daily with High PR and relevant niche. Go to pyramid and linkwheel models with unique content or spun articles 60% unique. I used to backlink with social media and video more.

Sounds like a typical bounce with new content. Believe it or not this is a good sign. I don't know how much off page you've done but it's a sign that competition is weak and you could probably get it ranking again by building some quality links to the page.

I've had sites hit the first page many times and than bounce out. In fact I have 2 sites with comepitive keywords that have bounced out of SERPs after being on the first page. I'm waiting them out. Sometimes on these I see this happen where I disappear for 2 weeks to 3 months and than pop back in again. It just takes building quality links to the site.
