Keywords (SEOC)

hi.

i was watching some old 30dc stuff about market samurai and they were saying dont choose keywords for anything with 30,000 competing sites or higher.

do you guys think this number could be altered because we market blackhat?

i found some good keywords to use and buy as domains but their SEOCompetition is 300,000.

help is appreciated!

The trick is to balance between the number of searches per day vs the seo competition. It is not useful to get a keyword with low competition but nobody searching for it.

Both number of searches and competition is only a guideline, low competition doesn't mean weak competition. My style of choosing keyword is to choose competition less than 50k and analyze the top 10 competitor for that keyword.

makes sense. ya i checked the competition and they were all .gov's and other prominent websites.
