When you guys have a niche (ex: hair loss) and select keywords with Market Samurai, what do you set your filters at and how do you go about advertising and ranking for these keywords? Say my domain is http://hairlosspreventionbeforeitstarts.com and i want to rank for the keywords "hair loss prevention", "hair loss products", and "hair loss methods" on Google, how do I go about ranking for those keywords?

Do I need articles that mention those keywords or do I just create categories out of those keywords, put random articles about hair loss in all of them and just build massive backlinks?

For a microniche to rank reasonably easily I look for -

No more than 40,000 SEOC (Search Engine Comp)
100+ SEOT (Search Engine Traffic) to make it worthwhile

Your keyword will be pretty competitive and so SEOC higher. It will take more work to rank highly.. but of course with some work this can be done.

Oh and at least 20% PBR

You want your main keyword in the domain name.

I.E. www. hair-prevention .com (or whatever your main keyword is)

Then write articles for each sub keyword and ensure that.

    For example "hair prevention methods":

    a) Page title contains keyword <title>hair prevention methods</title>
    b) The filename contains the keyword /hair-prevention-methods.html
    c) H1 Tag contains main keyword
    d) Article contains the keyword at 5 - 10%

Next - build backlinks with your keywords as anchor text.

There are some excellent sites with a look of info on the basics of SEO. Try www . seo book . com

    Thanks

Let's say my website is http://cheapweightlossproducts.net and want to rank for the term "weight loss blog", should one of my categories be "weight loss blog" then? What else would I need to do to rank for that keyword or would I not have a chance? That was a example since I'm trying to grab the concept here

that way when you create a post it will have the post name in the url -

www. your domain .com /postid=?42343 << not good !
www. your domain .com /hair-growth-methods << good :)

Sure - you can make a category for "weight loss blog" but it won't make too much difference on its own. You'll also need articles with weight loss blog under that category with weight loss blog at about 5 - 10%.

The best way to rank for "weight loss blog" it to build backlinks for that category on your domain, with weight loss blog as anchor text - for example:

    <a href="http://www. your domain /weight-loss-blog-catgeory/">weight loss blog</a>

Not sure straight to the main domain - but a direct link to the category - do you see?

When you say 5 to 10 percent, you mean all the articles should mention weight loss blog about 5 to 10 percent of the whole article?

Now when u say a direct link to the category, I've never heard that. Why would anyone want to link to say the category rather than the domain name? It sounds silly.

Google likes deep links. I think the idea is that is the page they send their searcher too is more specifically targeted to what they want to know.

    10% density =

Neque porro quisquam est weight-loss qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor

    10 words, KW mentioned once = 1 in 10 = 10%
