I installed all in one seo for wordpress and for each post they give title that consist of post title and home page title. So if my site is viagra pills and my post is named viagra pills then title for that post looks like:
    <title> viagra pills | viagra pills </title>

Is that bad? I mean will google see it as too spammy?

Yes, too spammy. You can include your keyword twice in title but make sure to add some other words too to lower the keyword density in the title. Like maybe

Viagra Pills | Buy best and cheap Viagra Pills

    or something like that.

Probably too spammy for humans. Google probably doesn't like it, but evidence suggests they tolerate it... just don't ever exceed four matches per word... Search viagra or games or poker or casino and count the matches... Internationally I've seen it exceed 4 but in US SERPS for high volume keywords 4 is usually the limit in the top 100.

Statistically the value for having keywords in the title ends at one match for each word. Having 2-4 matches of the exact same word doesn't give you any measurable advantage that I can measure. It does appear to start causing disadvantage beyond 4 matches per word though.

That is called keyword stuffing. You need to keep density under 5% on page, and spread around NOT too much in title, but still there.....

I've read in multiple places that the keyword density should be between 4%-12% for on page optimization. Quite a few of the posts on here advocate going towards the double digit mark.

I know that the general rule is to stay around 5%, but does anybody have any results illustrating how much you far you can increase density until it starts hurting the site, all other factors being close to equal.

How do I edit the second part of it? The one where you removed space. I can edit the first part but the second part is where home blog title goes and it does not seem editable in wp-admin... I really want the first part to be exact keyword, but would not mind editing second part.. Just how?

i have site with a two word phrase .net. webconfs.com/keyword-density-checker.php says I have 13.72% for the first word which get 4,090,000 exact search according to G keyword tool. I sit at 8 in the SERP for that. The second word is at 9% on the page.

It is #1 for the two word phrase and has site links for it as well. When I made the site I really stuffed the crap out of the names and anchors of the subpages, but it has always done well in the SERP.

Oh and the title is like: "Key Phrase - Welcome to Key-Phrase.net!" The double appearce of your keyword means there are extra bold words on your link in the SERP which means more click throughs.
