    Ok, citations are just directory listings, right?

    What I'm wondering is this: the local listings for {city} dentist, {city} dental surgeon and {city} tooth doctor are completely different (both 7pack and organic), even though they are more or less the same kind of thing. Ok this is isn't the best example but there are other professions where the search term you use to find them has a few direct synonyms, yet all of them show different results.

    Hence I'm wondering: How is it possible to focus on a certain keyword with citation building since it's just directory listings? Use the target term a few times in the business description and that is enough?

    For structured citations like you've seen, the best bet is a contextual occurence of the KW on the page, usually in the description.For unstructured citations which are basically just an occurence of the NAP, you have a little more room to KW target stuff. In social profiles, for example.

    For Citation you have to take care of three things;
    1) Targeted Geological situation and NAP
    2) Adjustment of Keywords in Description.
    3) URL if permitted by the site in Description.
