Hey guys, I have been doing keyword search for 2 days now, and most of what I have found are pretty good keywords, most likely 4k - 6k avg searches with low organic search competition, and most of the results are ecommerce (product listings) but for more specified keywords like "$MAIN KEYWORD$ reviews" are like between 100 - 500 avg searches, the keyword for product worth 80$ - 120$

Would you consider this is a good keyword ?
and if you have found another website also amazon affiliate style, would consider this a good or bad sign ?

    Thanks guys :D

Based on my experience if page 1 is full of e-commerce stores, I'll see page 2 or 3 to see more results. if it's full of e-commerce website, it means big G just prefer to rank that keyword with e-commerce kind of sites.

@Vanrithy, don't you think that's the nature of the keyword for example "camera lenses" I don't think you need results about product reviews other than you want to buy the item ?

It's based on my opinion and experience with some keywords and is not reflected to all.
I mean it's Google's result not me deciding to show those results though.

If you see another Amazon affiliate site (1 or 2) in the top 10, that's a good sign. If you see 3-5 affiliate sites in the top 10, might be kind of competitive as there are probably several more on pages 2,3,4 trying to rank.

You might want to check another 2-3 pages of results for a certain keyword, don't be to discouraged though if you start seeing to many affiliate sites way in the back, most of the time they are not ranking because of garbage cheap content or short content. Make sure you have 1,000 word article for your keyword, it seems to be the minimum now a days to rank for your keyword.

I'd also say that if you see forum posts in the top 10 that's a great sign too.

Along with these also check for youtube pages. You can also target exact "main keyword" to rank if most of the e-commerce sites having less authority.

Thanks all you guys for the response, I have a keyword, with pretty high price product, and affiliate site in top 10, with like no backlinks, over ranking really big websites that have between 20 ~ 40 backlinks for that page that is ranking, also I seem to like the niche, I think I will go for it.
