Hi,I had recently started working on an amazonsite but have ditched it in favor of clickbank. Using a method from here, I got about 90 clicks to the website but no sales yet. I guess it was because the topic was too wide (weight loss) and people are fed up of buying new things every few months. So, I now want to focus on micro niche sites based on clickbank. But I do not understand the process of keyword researching. Any good guide or tool that you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

90 clicks and no sales isn't bad, start think about something else when you get like 200 and no sales. You just need tons more traffic. Stick to CB.... more money in it.

Thanks. Guess I will change the product if it can't convert 1 out of 200 people who are looking for the solution.

It's not about the tool it's about research and finding the right words to use. You can do that just using Google search/autocomplete/related searches and some intuition.

Short brief on how to do keyword research for clickbank and affiliate sites in general. For each of the following steps there are a lot of threads dealing with the subject in more in-depth detail.

-Understand the user's intent behind keyword queries, some are commercial, people are looking to buy, some are purely informational queries where you won't be able to convert them. Once you have a good grasp of what kind of keywords are buying keywords - best, reviews, for sale, etc.. proceed to the next step

-Figure out a list of buying keywords related to your niche and see how many searches each of them have. Google Planner Tool is a good, free tool to do some keyword discovery.

-Analyze the serps competition of each of the buying keywords. Not all of them are good keywords, for some of them the competition would be so high that it's better to change the field of war and go into another niche. The tool i mention in my signature is a good option to quickly analyze whether the seo competition is low or high for a particular set of keywords.

If everything works well combined, you have BUYING Keywords with GOOD search volume and EASY SEO Competition, build a mns in that niche and try to rank it. This seems to be the universal formula behind affiliate marketing and seo strategy and it hasn't changed in years.

The free google keyword tool will do just fine. Here is how I selected my keywords for my current site I'm working on: I selected something with low competition and about 6,600 monthly searches. You want to have a decent amount of monthly searches, gauge how much money you'd be making per month if 15% of those searches convert to sales/leads. Then do a google search of the keyword, look at the first 20-30 results and analyze them, are they high authority sites, are their pages SEO optimized for the keyword, are their backlink profiles extensive or are they non existent? Answer these types of questions, and depending on the answers you should have a solid list of keywords that you can tackle.

Agreed. I use to be in the same situation. Spending $900 a month on "tools" and 0 sales. I dropped the SEO tools just use Google tools and now I'm getting around 20 sales a day~
