    I'm researching some keywords..

When I type them into google with "keyword" should I do it in google.com or google.co.uk ?

I'm trying to target the UK but just to get an idea of the competition which is best to use? .com or your local one?

    Thanks!

    Focus on .co.uk

since thats where your traffic will come from most of the time (most UK and any other country will go to their country's domain name).

So year, research google.co.uk's top 10 results and the competition in google.co.uk.

    Good luck.

are .com and .co.uk completely different? Or is .com just adding extra on to the results of .co.uk

Surely if I find good keywords with low competition on the .com site then it will also be the same for .co.uk too or do I need to do completely seperate research for all?

I am also targeting Australia and NZ wouldn't .com give me a general overview?

    Thanks!

If you target the local visitor, use the local google. Local google work very best with local keyword.
