Hi All,

I see a ton of image sites making it big and earning top dollars. I bet many of us on BHW have such nifty sites up as well.
I wanted to ask all experienced SEO marketers about their tactics for keyword research for image sites. Do you just use google keyword planner or some other tools ? (Market samurai ?).
Is keyword research for image sites different from that of normal sites ?( I would say, yes, as it would take a hell lot of keywords, right ?)

Looking for some solid inputs.

Thanks in advance,
Jo

You can use market samurai. But tools are prediction only. You can collect via market samurai, SEMrush, Google Planner. And then filter your targeted keywords. Then, implement your focus goal.

Which filters would you use ?

You can collect keywords and search results. Put separate sheet for each tools. And then Combine your keyowrds and filter based on impression or CPM or Search results or Others. That's better for you.

no google doesn't work, or if it works it requires a lot of work and money.

I wrote the perfect script for this kind of site, when I have 200 visitors I have 1000 page view.
but what i lack is visitors, google doesn't drive much traffic while I have all the right keywords.
the only thing that would work is traffic from social media which I don't have any!!
focus on that only .

Does the keyword planer also work for images?

Thats what I am wondering too.. ofcourse images have a short text/description and if we optimize with keywords - maybe it can work ? Not sure.
