    I'm Canadian, and my website isn't foreign or anything crazy it's an international website for video watching. For some reason, my website got hit with a DMCA complaint so I replaced the old domain with a new one and my rankings also dropped. I've been doing some SEO work to improve this but now none of my keywords rank at all in canada but in the US they at least rank some. What gives?

    Did you put your site in webmaster tool? If not, please submit the sitemap there and set targeting to "canada" only.

    I did, and I set the target to USA because USA traffic is MOSTLY what I want, however I want it to rank in all countries not just one

    Since,You have set it to USA it'll rank high in USA only,Try adding the below code below your <head> section

    <meta content='en_US' property='og:locale'/>
    <meta content='en_CA' property='og:locale:alternate'/>

    Did you use a diffrent domain register from the original ?

    Is the website still hosted on the same server as the original ?

    Are you using the same website host ip as the original?

    Try to get more .CA domains backlinks since you want to see your website ranked in CA, its weird you want US traffic most but still want to rank in CA, ymmm, a big authority site can behavior like that, that means, your website should be very powerful.

    Just had a deep think , your playing with google fellings here.

    You need to concetrate all your onsite seo with canada keyword , in articles, and images and titles and video and powerful backlinks with Canada , the url might even have a canada word in it ....

    All done properly, your be a canada website, and seeing your self heigh in canada serch and search engines ....

    Know you need to concentrate getting usa traffic to the website .

    Ill personally use youtube , web 2.0 , and all usa niche , forums and blogs and other powerful backlinks all in usa pointing to your website to get the traffic at hand .....

    Every time you make articles for usa forums or blogs your have to mention your website relays on usa only ....

    Only way i see this happeing , dont see any other way ....

    The only other way ,is paying for all your traffic from, usa traffic providers .....

    You might even consider using a geo method like provided above ,or use a htacces method to only accept usa traffic only...

    I would use a php code ,make life so easer
    Here a valid example.....

    Target your local keywords and focus on building it by the quality backlinks, mostly you can target the sites around your specific country and update your blog with great piece of contents.
