Hey folks,

Got a question.

I have all my pages indexed by google.
I have my site is listing for few keywords.
But for few other keywords my site is no longer in google's DB.
The competition results for those missing keywords is around 500k only.
And the same page is indexed for another keyword.

So wondering how to get my site listed in google's DB for the missing keywords too.

FYI, one of the missing keywords is THE MAIN keyword of the site. Back links are built only for that keywords. Competitive results are only around 500k. And the main page is perfectly optimized for that keyword.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe you over optimized . On site optimization is one thing . But off site with the links built for that keyword . Might have overdone it and google might ahve seen that .

Coulda got deindexed as well . It will show back up . Least that what everyone says when there is a post just like this running around.

You should also try using LSI keywords that you can get from the Google Adwords tool

It is not just about the amount of competition for your keywords, it is more about the strength of that competition. What that means is that for the keywords you are ranking in might have 500K competitors, however based on the strength of the competitors you might only need 100+ good backlinks to rank well for it. However in the keywords you are not ranking in, again even if there is 500K competitors their link strength maybe higher, so you could need 300+ backlinks to rank well.

If you are saying that certain pages of your site are not in g00g!e index, then that is a different matter! Firstly, was it in g00g!e at any point? if so, then you need to look at internal links first. Use webmaster tools to see how many internal links the page has. As I dont know your site, I will give this example as if it was a blog! When you post a new blog post it appears on the from page, therefore g00g!e thinks that your sites ranks that page well as New and Important, therefore it helps in the serps for it. as the page ages and you add new pages it drops back to 2 clicks within your site to get to the page. Therefore rendering less important. This is very common that users experiance a new post/page ranks well for a short period then disappears. It takes time to establish a page ranking well in g00g!e. Establish meaning to hold a ranking with minimal effort. Try linking the page directly from your home page again, as that will help.

Alternatively you could have over done it with link building. ie too fast. However that would normally end in the whole site getting deindexed for link spamming.

The challenge is that there is so many potnetial reasons why this has happened, and it is only time and experiance that will allow you to find out why this happened and for you to be able to reverse the effect or do something dirrect so it does not happen again.

valwardon, i dun think am over done with on site optimization.

iamsgf, i am not worried that am not ranking well on that keyword. Am worried coz, i do not see my site listing anywhere in g00gle for that specific keyword. As it have only 500k competition, checked all 500k results and found my link is no where listed. But that same page is indexed for other keyword. So was wondering what i have to do. Also, i am sure, i have not over done with link building too.

More over, is there a way to find whether a page is over done with on site optimization? and if the page is de-indexed, how can we get it re-indexed?
